Is there somewhere around Vallo you can go to practice knife skills (throwing, not chopping vegetables) that won't attract attention? I'm assuming people don't want you just doing it out in the open, but I know I'm getting rusty and can only do so much in my apartment. Even if I don't need to use them like I did back home, I don't want to lose that.

And because age seems to matter here a bit more than it did back home, I'm almost 17.

I skipped over the part I was supposed to introduce myself and went right to talking about burgers and milkshakes. Whoops. Let's try this again.

I'm Rosalind Walker. I'm 17, and I'm from the same world as Sabrina. Back home I was Student Body Co-President, co-founder of a school organization called WICCA, a Baxter High Ravenettes Cheerleader, in a band called Fight Club (bass/piano/vocals), and a former youth group leader. It still feels weird to type out, but I also recently found out I'm a witch, specifically a Seer.

I will be talking the DOA soon, but I'd also appreciate anyone taking the time to talk to me about any of the following:

1. Your experience studying at The Outlander School
2. Geliara (working or studying)
3. Opportunities for part time jobs
4. Any other approaches you took to getting involved in the community to make it start to feel a little more closer to a home.

I think that I'm starting to get used to school. Not that I didn't get ~~some~~ schooling back home ~~before~~, but it wasn't so formal as this. I'm enjoying it, in its own way, even if it's about as different as possible from what I was doing before being brought here.

Is there anywhere anyone would suggest to go for waffles? There seems to be a lot of options and while I'm not against just trying each one, I thought getting pointed in a direction might be better for my stomach.

I realized that in my confusion, I don't believe I actually thanked anyone that I met and that helped after I arrived here so -- thank you, I suppose. This is a strange situation, but that kindness has helped make it a bit easier.

~~I don't really know~~ Everything here feels rather large, does it not? Some of the buildings are taller than I've ever seen before and there's a lot of bright lights. It's different. I have traveled all over Ravka and spent the last years in Ketterdam ~~and~~, but I have never seen a place quite like this. Though, I have also been told that there might be some here that are familiar with those places? ~~Not~~ I'm not sure if they are anyone I know as the world is a large place, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

~~Oh, I suppose I should~~ I'm Inej, by the way.
