A North German military rapier, circa 1630. It's beautifully detailed and worth every penny. A perfect way to start up my weapons collection here. Maybe the powers that be will be so kind as to give me the rest of my collection from home like they gave me my parakeet earlier in the month.

Nothing like an attempted assassination to liven up a boring day. I'm glad we were able to track down the conspirators.

Guess I can say I'm now among the people who have spent a birthday here.

Okay, Vallo. I want to know where you guys drink.

Specifically coffee and whiskey. I still haven't found a good cafe here yet, nor is what I'm brewing at home decent. Plus it'd be nice to find a place with a good atmosphere where I can sit and read or do some work.

For whiskey, I've tried a few bars that are fine, but I prefer to do that kind of drinking at home. In this case, I'm looking for bottles rather than bars. Surely there's a place to find a good single malt here?

Holy no way! The closest thing I really have to home is here. Just randomly here. We call it The Lighthouse, but it's actually an underground bunker (beneath an actual lighthouse) that S.H.I.E.L.D. built in the 70s. I'm not sure how it got here, but I'm glad to have a little piece of home here with me.

There's plenty of space, so if anyone needs a place to crash or just wants to live in a cool underground bunker, just let me know.

If there is anything anyone needs over the next few days, especially if you're healing, let me know if there's anything the department can do to help you out.

Working off the assumption that we will be in the clear next week, we won't find any Vulture stragglers, and things remain Vallo-normal, I'll make good on that dinner and drinks offer next week. Wednesday, after patrols. If something else is going on, or if everyone needs more time, let me know.

Just when I thought maybe life could be chill for awhile. I suppose a little downtime was too much to ask.

Usually, I'm given a bit more time before my assignment changes and not simply whisked away without warning to parts unknown. Not to mention it's become very clear this wasn't even a new assignment, so there's certainly that to deal with as well.

The person I spoke with at the DOA certainly had a fair few questions, not all of which were answerable, though I suppose it was likewise with my questions.

I'm not saying I'm upset because I'm not, but it's weird to be the only one from home. When I showed up in Tumbleweed I was surrounded. It's like they were everywhere and then there was two of one.

In news that seems to be rampant around this place, I've had to murder too many bugs. They had it coming, though, so I'm not sorry about it. Anyone's magic fueled by bug guts?

It's been a while since I've had a reason to do Christmas shopping, longer still since I've wrapped any of it. I must admit it's a nice change.
