Okay. So I know I was complaining about my utterly, tragically forgotten birthday but that was not a hint that I wanted the most complicated surprise theme party in history. I’m both disturbed and impressed by the attention to detail and the devotion the actors portraying the government officials have to their craft. Great work. Fantastic work.

I would like to know what kind of drugs were used to convince me that I had gone from walking into Cafe Tropical to falling right the fuck out of a giant rock that would probably make the healing crystal crowd literally just drop dead out of sheer joy. Our next speed dating event will be held at Dorian's Gray Room on July 16th, starting at 8:00 PM! Plenty of drink specials available, and upon arriving you'll be directed into the speakeasy room where, if you didn't wear a rip-roaring 20s outfit, don't worry! ~Magic~ will ensure that your threads change for you! It'll go back to normal when you leave, btw, or when you meet someone and head home to rip your clothes off each other.

There's a $10 registration fee like last time, and proceeds will go to benefit the Chakrabarti Clinic again! Those poor employees sure do deserve a vacation, right? It's been a time.

It occurs to me that with finals on the horizon and summer break just around that corner, that I'm going to need to find something to do with my time. I have never held a job before, in the sense of having a set schedule of hours and receiving a salary for my time and work, so perhaps that is something that I ought to consider changing? I don't entirely know where to start, though.

Out of curiosity, and if you are reading and inclined to answer, what was your first job? Perhaps it will give me a jumping off point.

I have a confession to make, now that the kids have dispersed. I've thought about it and as unequipped as I felt that I could be to observe a slumber party as an adult, even from the outskirts, it made me very much wish that I would have been able to have them as a child.

I'm going to the beach if anyone wants to come. The Aquarium is also doing a half-priced Friday thing if you'd prefer to be inside in the AC. I know they've got it on today. Also there's probably plenty of pools to go to as well.

I know people are raging out and turning into puppets right now which is so on brand for this place I'm actually having a moment about it, but! We have stuff to help at the Apothecary. Room sprays which make your place smell good and calm your Hulk moments - lavender, sandalwood, and chamomile to name a few and it's legit because scent relaxation and mood lifting is real. Your nose can do some wild stuff for your body and you don't even need magic for it! Everything comes in candle form too, FYI.

Also I don't mean to sound like Brenda with the essential oils pyramid scheme; I'm not saying this will cure the common cold, I'm just saying it all helps your pillowcases not smell like sweat.

Oh! And if you're friends with my merm bestie, Cleo, please know that her birthday is April 19th so I'll be throwing her a pizza party at Dough Bros that night. It's really tiny so we'll probably just end up taking over the place and having fun. Come by around 7 if you want to celebrate Cleo!

Does this place have any kind of spa? Thinking about treating myself for my birthday tomorrow. Even though it was just my birthday. This place is so weird. But that one didn't have a spa weekend. I'll settle for a spa day and a good place for centering self yoga. Good but affordable.

Spa day is open to whoever, but it won't be today because I'm trying to not panic the spa has to be found. Maybe next weekend, though. Mom Caroli Next weekend looks better.
