I'm temporarily stepping into the commander role for defense in Sara and Shiro's absence. I'll relinquish it when we find them and the rest of our missing friends. Based off roster and communication attempts, I've identified who is missing.

Thankfully, most of our coordinators are still here, but the teams have been hit pretty hard.

Ezio, Sirius, we're pulling you out of reserves and placing you with Team A. Teams A and B will be combined under Cassian for the moment.

Jacob, Syd, you two as well, joining Team D. Teams C and D will be combined under Daisy until we're back at full force.

Form up, be ready. This is the perfect time for something or someone to attack and that's not going to succeed on our watch.

I'm under the impression that people make resolutions or goals or whatever for the upcoming new year. I'm already pretty happy with myself most of the time, but I'm here for trying anything once, so I could use some suggestions in this regard.

So, if you're taking part in such things, what resolutions might you be setting for yourself, if you're willing to share publicly, so I can shamelessly steal one?

What are the chances you will let me take you out for new year celebrations? If I might make a recommendation, I think the chances should be high, but don't let that sway your answer.

Alexis gave me a very fine four-sided chess board for the Christmas holiday - does anyone else here like to play? Or any other board games, for that matter. I'm always glad to learn a new one, now that I actually have something approaching free time. (And Richie, I think I'm ready to learn a bit more about video games, if you remain willing to explain matters.)

And my thanks to whatever mysterious benefactor sent the pig ears to Calenhad. He is very happily chewing on one as I write this.*

So it's been very quiet the last few days! At first I thought it might be because of the weather, because some people don't much like the snow, but then I thought it had to be something else, because you're all too courageous to be slowed down by a little blizzard! While I was thinking about all this, and hoping that it wasn't the start of an apocalypse (I have a lot of experience with those!), I discovered a magical something called a vending machine. I can only assume it to be the gift from the gods, as I put coins into this vending machine and received pastries in return, so then I put all my money into this vending machine and now I have 28 cupcakes with white filling! I have consumed 14 of them. What will the rest of the evening hold? WHO KNOWS?

Anyhow, please drop me a line and let me know how you're doing, and if you need anything. I rather like snowy weather, even if sometimes the snow blots out the sun, and then I like it less, BUT I have cupcakes and am only too happy to share if you find yourself hungry and in need of company! We can engage in jolly cooperation! I can tell you stories, such as the time I was nearly eaten by a dragon, and maybe about my family, like my sister, who has snakes for legs! Just let me know!

Two topics of consideration this morning: How early is too early for Christmas decorations and music and baking?

AND is anyone at all interested in seeing the Mona Lisa? It has been tucked away for quite a while and I feel weird just hanging it in our apartment when I think?? a few people might appreciate her.

If I'm to get on in an entirely different world, I'm glad I can now do it with my best friend here.

He looks fierce but is generally quite friendly. Calenhad is a mabari, which means he is as smart as most people. He understands Trade and Orlesian, but he only speaks Dog.

OOC note: he's about the size of a mastiff but looks like a blue pitbull

As I will be a physical education teacher for the school now, I am taking a good look at what the students have available to them as far as equipment goes. I have a great deal of construction experience so, in the coming month, I'm hoping to install the following for school use:

• An indoor rock climbing wall
• A large trampoline
• Two kid-friendly obstacle courses, one for children under 10 and one for teenagers

I haven't gotten actual permission on these yet so if there are concerns or questions, feel free to ask now. There will be a long list of safety measures in place and the risk of injury will be as minimal as most standard P.E. activities and sports involve.

Use of the equipment will not be mandatory. I feel everyone has different needs as far as physical education. Ideally, tools should be used to help students reach a healthy place that suits them and keeps them engaged, instead of wishing they were literally anywhere else. Since we have some flexibility for one-on-one learning here, I'll be adjusting everyone's curriculum on an individual basis. With any luck, I can keep at least three-quarters of the class from hating me.

I'm having kind of a crisis right now? As most of you are well aware by now, I have landed the role of Rapunzel in the upcoming musical entitled Into the Woods. However, my Prince has vanished into the ether. Ergo, I am in need of a Prince to fill the role of the Prince - you don't necessarily have to actually be a Prince, all I ask is that you can carry a tune and that your acting skills surpass those of Pauly Shore in Encino Man.

I just seem to be missing my dragon. Well- he is not mine, he is his own self, but-I he doesn't do well being separated from me and I would not want him to cause trouble. He is large and black, near 20 tonnes, and difficult to miss, as you might imagine. Answers to the name Temeraire. If you happen to spot him, do feel free to let him know I am here.

ATTENTION!

Apparently our mysterious new island has waypoints that lead into the city. While having a poke about, I saw a herd of small theropods chased through one by a T-Rex.

Don't panic and please don't approach the dinosaurs unless you have some experience or training. I've my eye on the T-Rex. She hasn't caused any damage yet. Think she's mostly bewildered by her new surroundings.

Sara Lance, might I suggest deploying some of your DOA squads to downtown immediately?

Let's try not to hurt the dinosaurs. With any luck, we can herd them back through the waypoint. Or if someone can create short rage portals, all the better.

ETA: I'm going to attempt to surround the T-Rex with sonic lanterns to keep her in place.

Hello, Outlanders! I am looking for two groups of volunteers:

1. Have you ever wanted to fly but were not blessed with the ability to do so on your own? Are you an adrenaline junkie? I am in need of a tester (or two!) to use a winged jetpack of my creation and to allow me to document you using it. Even better if you are willing to give me constructive feedback. As payment, I am willing to make you your very own, if you so wish it!

2. I am looking for those of you with flight capabilities to allow me to use you as inspiration - I have a preference for anyone with wings but would like three volunteers with or without! I am willing to pay for your time if you are willing to let me draw you and ask you a lot (lot) of questions!
