Never thought I'd be that person, but I like the way Gansey's face gets all soft when I say it.

I keep wishing that Aelwyn would have been there for the tournament, but at the same time it may be for the best as I think the teasing would have been top tier. Though, I also miss the teasing? Which brings me back around to wishing she was still here.

It was good to have a visit, but it's hard being separated again. Someday a bit more from home will stick around that isn't a building.



Oh, that's sad sounding, isn't it? I'm blaming that on it being Monday and the coffee shop being out of chocolate croissants.

Anyone else do anything weird last night?

It's come to my attention that yesterday was some cat holiday, so I thought that was an excuse as any to formally introduce the many cats that Vallo gifted to me that were once my sister's. Some needed names as I hadn't been privy to all of them based on the memories I have from home, but they're all lovely.

As a preface: these cats are not up for adoption, however a good few of them will be living at the bookstores—Chastity's Nook and Enchanted Nook—and are available for gentle pets there. And, you know, while you're there petting the cats, maybe buy some books. (I did advertising, Caleb!)

Where I'm from, dragons aren't so uncommon a sight. The area that I live in is called the Dragon Empire, among other things, so it's probably not too hard to entertain the thought that they're rather around. Dragons rule, they're basically nobility, all of that.

But I can say that I've never once seen a dragon quite like these and that's a bit of a shame. We're all gold, red, white, silver, and so on back home, so these are a unique sight. I hope this isn't one of those Vallo Things, as I've heard and seen others put it, as it would be a shame if they disappeared one day.

Though I'm typing this as I'm walking to my room at the Crossed Quills and am being followed by a few of the large bee ones, though I don't know if they count as dragons. Regardless, I'm concerned I might have roommates, if I don't shake them.

With the heat, we're keeping a close eye on all of the animals here and making sure they're well hydrated and as comfortable as can be. :) Chickens can't sweat (I know, right?? I had no idea) and so to help keep them a little cooler and entertained I made them a cake.

And now, weird things I've eaten this week!

In case you didn't see it, I volunteered to help out Mike with the village issues he's having. I feel like I need to stretch some adventuring muscles, just with where my head's been lately.



Which is to say, I'm sorry that I've been a bit more difficult to be around as of late. I still miss my friends and hate that I can't do anything from here to help out at home and that all I know about home is how absolutely stressed I am, but with finals done here and some time off from school ahead, I feel a bit lighter. The reminder I have people here to support me too, has also been helpful. I shouldn't have taken my bad mood out on anyone else, though, so I'm sorry.

Anyway, love you all. Wish me luck for when we go in.

People are usually curious, so! Shearing sheep is important because they overheat with too much wool! And the wool just continues to grow, so over time it will make it a lot harder for them to move because the wool just becomes so heavy. It doesn't hurt either! Especially not if you have sheep that behave :))))))) or are used to it! But after I do it, I have to stretch a ton because of having to crouch down and hold them in place. It's SUPER good exercise lololololol. :)))))))

Good thing I have Sour Patch Kids Oreos!

Here's the thing, these are pretty good?? But it's definitely like, more sour than any other flavor, which is WILD. And the crystals are hard, they're not the gummy part of a SPK. I would definitely eat these again because I love Oreos, they're probably my favorite cookie, but I wouldn't reach for these first out of ALL of the Oreos in the world. But now I need to know everyone's favorite type, thanks. :))))

Hey so. We've got an appointment with a few specialists to get the ball rolling on making a baby. Idk how long it's all going to take and I only halfway understand what a surrogate coordinator even fucking does, but I figured I'd share the good news and shit. Right then! Just wanted to pop on now that I've got a bit more of a handle on things, and say a heartfelt cheers and thanks to those that helped me during my quite ghastly arrival. Even those of you that laughed at me - hope to have brought some humor for your day.

I never got to make proper introductions, all said. I'm Si Robin Blyth, I come from the same ah- time? place? world? These things go over my head - as Edw Ms. Violet Debenham, and Mr. Edwin Courcey, but! If you hadn't guessed by my previous blundering, I am not lucky enough to be as gifted as they are with magic, just stumbled into it by accident and then ended up with unexpected psychic abilities! Though, I've learned that having foresight really isn't that helpful at all, in the end, especially not when they couldn't even warn me I'd be walking into a but apparently I'm not the only one of my kind here?

It is nice being able to say that part to the general public! So far I've heard of the same-sex marriages, the fact that women have far more freedom, and experienced now the indoor plumbing and hot showers on command. Tell me of more wonders? What am I missing? I've become acquainted with several bars and taverns since my arrival so that part is covered now do your worst.

And my SUPER amazing and co-worker and all around GREAT friend requested ice cream for it, so it's time for a very low-key but still celebratory but also low stress and not making too much of a big deal but a big enough deal because birthdays are important but again like, as long as everyone is having fun ice cream crawl! --Honeice (they're vegan but they're SO nice, you guys and it's pretty good!! I get the sorbet and that is top notch and it's real fruit so Gansey doesn't make a face at me for the day)
--Scooplicity (you pick your own add-ins and they mix it in front of you, mine is usually brownies, Sour Patch Kids, and Golden Oreos with cheesecake ice cream)
--Frost and Fizz (root beer floats are the BEST but don't sleep on the orange or grape soda or the ginger ale!!!)
--Gelato Glitz (true story the owner is related to the pixie who owns the coffee shop which is very cool and there's literally edible glitter in EVERYTHING, sometimes they'll add in extra effects too, my Pop Rocks scoop had sparkles flying around it it was super cool)

Ah-- Hello, good morning. I know that it is early for most, but well. I seem to have lost track of the hour.

A thought occurred to me in the night while I was trancing. It--well If you are unfamiliar, it is something that my variation of elves can do, wherein we do not have to sleep and instead go into a meditative trance and do exercises--it hardly matters, but I generally go over thoughts of whatever I am working on or Ca so my thoughts were lingering on this issue we have been going over regarding the portal beast since yesterday and--

I apologize, I did not actually finish my trance and am surviving on coffee and hope at the moment.

Anyway, I had a thought, specifically from the transmutation books that Prigany brought and a few specific runes that those idiots the culprits had tried to use and everything else surrounding the situation and, this might sound mad and I will need someone or a few someones to look over my work, but I am certain that they somehow managed to turn a waypoint crystal into the creature that we have been dealing with today and all of the portals and its glitching and disappearing are stemming from the fact that the magic of the waypoints just shouldn't be within something living and breathing like that.

As I said, I am humble enough to want someone to look over what led me to this conclusion as I have all of the work to show for it, but my humbleness ends at a point as I do have confidence here. There is nowhere for us to send the creature, as they were created and are truly from our Vallo. Perhaps this is something to confirm with them, if communication is at all possible?

But, ah--that is all. It feels as though this narrows our options.

Uh Hello! Hi.

It looks like this odd power switching thing is pretty widespread so I'm assuming someone has my own abilities? I don't really know how to narrow that down, but I'm a wizard and oracle by trade, so--magic? Specifically magic that involves seeing the future and having visions in an oracle/psychic sort of way. But I wanted to ask a favor of whoever this person might be that if you have any visions can you write them down? They are usually fairly mundane, but I keep a journal of them for tracking purposes and so I can see if there is any correlation between them, make sure they came true, that sort of thing. They aren't always straightforward to interpret, so I've been collecting data over the years to get better. It is like a dream journal, except I don't really dream because I don't really sleep.

Anyway, I apologize. This is a lot of rambling.



Also I'm unsure whose abilities I now have, but the cats are really chatty in this house.
