There have been a lot of things that I've gotten to read/listen to/watch that I'd never have been able to experience in 1969 and technically going to Disney is one of them, but uh. Pretty sure that place is way more rad than it was back then, I am just saying.

Consider me joining the legions that ever don't want to leave.

I grew up in a household where pets weren't really a thing unless they were on loan to look better in family pictures. I didn't really live at home for long anyway, but I never considered myself much of an animal person from lack of association.

And then Ronan Lynch came into my life with a tiny dreamed raven cupped in his hands. Now I live on a giant farm filled with animals of wonder and magic and there's more happiness in a tiny corner of this place than I think there was ever was in the estate I grew up in.

But anyway all of that was a lot of sappiness (I'm not sorry, Ronan) to mention that at the adoption event I - we - ended up with Chorizo. He's about five, a little shy, loves Blue's knitting, and likes being carried around by Opal.

I know it's been a rough weekend, but I hope everyone's having a happier Tuesday.

On that note, I'll be working with Enki Coven to hold a Holi celebration on MageNet grounds. Holi is the celebration of the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna as well as the triumph of good over evil. It has been known as the "Festival of Love," the "Festival of Colours," and the "Festival of Spring." More practically, it is ushering in the arrival of spring, the blossoming of love, as well as a time to meet others to forgive and forget in order to repair broken relationships.

The celebrations start on the 17th at sunset, with Holika Dahan. We will burn a bonfire signifying the defeat of the demoness Holika. As it will be full of religious ceremonies and prayers, it will be a closed ceremony. However, if you are interested in observing respectfully, I can talk to the Enki Elders about allowing you access!

On March 18th, we will hold Rangwali Holi, which is open to all! This is a free-for-all festival of colours, where everyone can throw coloured powered at each other. There will also be water guns and water balloons full of colour on offer and anyone and everyone is fair game. Friend or stranger, rich or poor, man or woman, children, and elders. While we're constricting our celebrations to MageNet grounds (please avoid bombarding the interior MageNet buildings with colour), it wouldn't be surprising to see people on the streets attacking each other with powder.

It will go on from morning to afternoon, with a catered buffet for breakfast and lunch. Then a more formal sit down dinner will occur on the grounds, where you dress up in your finest.

I hope to see many of you Outlanders there!

Things weren't always easy between us, we dealt with a lot of shit growing up, especially when we reached high school. It's almost impossible to imagine living in any reality without you. Where ever they are now though, I know they'll be fine. She's Caroline Forbes. Miss Mystic Falls, Head Cheerleader, best friend. I'll miss complaining about hangovers to you after we drink too much wine, even though you don't get them and it makes me want to throw things at you in jealousy. Which is sort of a step up from when we used to chug coffee at the Mystic Grill in an attempt to be sober before sneaking back home after another party in a questionable location?

OOC Note: Sorry for deleting the version of this I posted yesterday, I was having a bad anxiety day and spun myself up worrying over jokes not landing well and panic-deleted. Apologies especially to the people who had already commented or were trying to comment, I hope you will forgive me my transgression and not hold this against me forever/never comment on another thing I write for the rest of our lives.

Who knows things about getting rid of curses? We don't know we have curse on Haus, but we are worried enough that we think maybe we should do everything we can find out about to break curses just in case. Even when things are normal, hockey people basically are like granny witches, doing little rituals so we feel like we are in charge of fate. Now things are not normal, magic is real, so we need more stuff to do against bad luck.

Here is what I have collected so far with google:

• Decoy Poppet: Make little dolls of us to distract the bad luck. Poppet looks like doll; is there difference between poppet and doll? Should we also make decoy of Haus?
  
• Mirrors: Put mirrors outside Haus to bounce back curses
  
• Salt Bath: Take bath with salt and baking soda and lavender oil. I am thinking I will do this anyway, it sounds relaxing.
  
• Crystal Wand: It says use selenite wand, wave it around body and area to cleanse.
  
• Smoke Cleansing: Burn bundle of herbs, wave smoke around. Different ones say different herbs, do magic people here have ideas?
  
• Floral Cleansing Bowl: Instead of lighting on fire, put herbs in bowl of hot water and carry them around.
  
• Lemon?: Sweep your aura with a salted lemon, it says. I do not know how to sweep aura, please explain if you know.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to do some astral projection with me. I'll do the spell, I just need a co-traveller to do some exploring with me. Doesn't have to be a witch. Willing to bribe with cookies.

This is, ah--sentimental and I will surely deny saying as much should anyone ask, but as harrowing as the time in that sphere was at times, it was more tolerable with the two of you, so: thank you, for both the amusement and the life saving measures.

Now that I've spent most of the day in bed being smothered by dogs, how is everyone doing? I can deliver potions if anyone needs them. I also have burn paste if anyone needs it.

It appears any of us who have the journals from Ancient Vallo should be able to communicate with our missing members, I was checking mine just today as a last-ditch effort and have managed to talk to a few of them now.

Can anything be done with this to help locate them?

You know, I'm usually like - totally fine with The Patented Vallo Surprise™? And I grew up in the era of VCRs and video tapes, so, when I found a tape on the front seat of my car this morning and it had Ras's name on it, I wasn't at all suspicious (maybe a little) but I also didn't think I found Ras's snuff film collection so it'd be fine? We'd just find a VCR and watch the tape? Turns out, she had the matching VCR.

Did you guys know that the odds of giving birth to sextuplets spontaneously are one in 4.7 billion? Well, this movie had that ONE out of 4.7 billion. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Also, Prigany gets a lot of questions about love during this time of year - they have a whole list to help you focus if you're curious, whether you're single or in a relationship or shackled to your respective ball or chain. I can also do a drawing for you to answer your burning question, as long as you're not creeped out by my white-eyed fugue state during Vision Quests.

Sorry for the delay in follow up to Mei's post. Sirius has been in a coma since the attack and only just woke up. I'd appreciate it if everyone would take a moment to give him a stern look the next time you see him. This is the second time he's scared the hell out of me.

Covens and other orgnaizations are coming together to help rebuild after the attack of the...things. I've heard from a few and said I would pass on the message of how anyone who might want to help, can. Many people are taking this destruction as an opportunity to build back stronger, and help others to do the same.

-Enki is funding a lot of this, and using the opportunity to incorporate more green technology throughout Vallo for those who are interested.
-The team at Papa's Pride are stepping up to help strenghten shields around buidling and working collaboratively with Enki.
- Silniara is opening up their doors for anyone who needs assistance with injuries.
- Cerberus' Books, Salie Coven, and newcomers Two Chicks Cafe are offering meals to those currently displaced from their homes from the attack, and those helping with teh rebuild.
- Bekth, Geliara, and Asetenarra are offering resources and assistance where they can.
- Vorerra Construction is offering buidlig materials and their Hotel division is offering temporary homes (I'm just the messenger).
- An Art fundraise is being lead by Brorose.
- The Barnes is offering delivery of eggs, milk, and essentials to farms in the forest.

Where to Help
- MageNet grounds were hit hard by the attack, including the Aviary and the Skyline Towers, where a lot of coven members live.
- Severeal greenhouses owned by Silniara have suffered extreme damage. Plants are currently being protected by a steady source of magic.
- Soups Soups Soups is rebuidling, as many of you are aware and are currently heartbroken over. I get it.
- The building that houses Baker, Pearson, & Wu and their neighbors was severly damaged.
- There are several small businesses reporting a wide range of damages, a comprehensive list can be found on several websites, including the Government of Vallo, Enki, and the DOA.
- Same with several communities in the woods, including several farms, homes, and small schools.
- The Leaky Cauldron needs assistance with strengthening wards around the building.
- Assistance repairing Prigany's caravans.

While celebrations will be smaller now, a reminder that tomorrow is the Lunar New Year, and the start of Imbolc.

I guess if you don't know me well enough yet the guess probably isn't very easy, so I'll just say that my dog Stella is here! I wonder if that means both she and I are completely disappeared from Texas then? If Stella is all that Fabian had left of- Okay, don't go down that spiral of feel-

Hopefully, any future roommates won't mind having her around!

Apparently whatever has been in the air is still in the air, as I just spent the latter half of my first class this morning answering questions about my childhood, in far greater detail than I would have ever indulged on a regular day.

One downside is that Stella isn't here. I hope Fabimy friends are taking care of her now that I'm gone. Poor girl probably keeps wondering why I keep disappearing. It does make wonder if I should adopt another dog, it is a little too quiet and boring in my flat. I don't know the idea of "replacing" her when it's only been a few weeks seems harsh.

At least I have a nice new job now! My very awesome best friends George and Fred took pity on me, so I'm working for them!
