Also I have no small fear that you may fall asleep and slip into that cauldron and although I do love magical experimentation, I much prefer it to be consensual and out of an abundance of curiosity, not out of fatigue.

Does Vallo have like.. magical plant exterminators or something?

The house being empty is already fucking maddening and now I have weird purple buds coming right out of my shower drain. If this doesn't get taken care of soon, I'm going to have to start using someone else's shower because I don't trust this.

Where I'm from, dragons aren't so uncommon a sight. The area that I live in is called the Dragon Empire, among other things, so it's probably not too hard to entertain the thought that they're rather around. Dragons rule, they're basically nobility, all of that.

But I can say that I've never once seen a dragon quite like these and that's a bit of a shame. We're all gold, red, white, silver, and so on back home, so these are a unique sight. I hope this isn't one of those Vallo Things, as I've heard and seen others put it, as it would be a shame if they disappeared one day.

Though I'm typing this as I'm walking to my room at the Crossed Quills and am being followed by a few of the large bee ones, though I don't know if they count as dragons. Regardless, I'm concerned I might have roommates, if I don't shake them.

With the heat, we're keeping a close eye on all of the animals here and making sure they're well hydrated and as comfortable as can be. :) Chickens can't sweat (I know, right?? I had no idea) and so to help keep them a little cooler and entertained I made them a cake.

And now, weird things I've eaten this week!

This is also your reminder to not overtax yourself physically, drink lots of water, and take breaks when you're spending a lot of time outside! :)))))))) And come visit us at the Enchanted Nook where it's super cool inside both temperature wise AND because we have amazing books and people who work there. :))))))

So totally hypothetical situation! Say you take the waypoint to go into the city and instead you end up in a weird magical island where some freaky purple haired lady speaks in a language you don't know and suddenly I have ... Magic?

Okay so not hypothetical this happened to me and it's weird. I'm not great at it but I did just accidentally clean an entire barn with some weird hand waving. Anyone want to duel?

My wardrobe is halfway toward being completely revamped. From all the styles I've learned are far more modern but also widely more acceptable for women to wear -- like trousers! All the incredibly comfortable trousers!

Which isn't to say I wouldn't be keeping some dresses but at least they seem far more comfortable than what I have grown up with. Those corsets and skirts that gave you a pronounced S shape are not at all comfortable, not compared to sundresses.

I'm also learned to wear my hair down far more and am enjoying embracing my curls. See?? As you can see, also learning how to attach photos to the network and working on these contraptions in general. By this time in maybe another month, I might know enough to take over the world. Not that I actually would. I prefer having free time to read.

When I first arrived here, it was under a certain amount of duress with all of the ghost and curse stuff I had been dealing with back home. That seems to have been all squared away, though? So now that I'm less panicked, I'm here to re-introduce myself.

So, hello again, my name is Xantheus. I understand there are a great many of you that have been here far longer than I have, so I'm here looking for advice. I've had a lot of food suggestions and all of that, but what is your favorite place in this entire world or island or whatever it is? I want to explore and have done some so far, but would like to narrow things down.

Most of my time so far has been at the Crossed Quills, just thanks to my living there right now, so that can get crossed off the list. Or not, if there's something I'm missing there beyond food, music, and a place to sleep?

Forgive me if this is wildly out of turn, but what are the chances you're hiring? Magic might still be new to me, but I am pretty familiar with the exchange of money for goods. My references are a bit lacking, though, with them all being in Ilmera and my being here.

Anyway, hello. Again. Thank you for the explanations and the housing and this device and money, apparently? Very generous. A little suspicious. But, I'll take generosity as this is all a bit mad and it seems easier than questioning my sanity more than I already was.

Which, speaking of generosity to strangers that are already grappling with mind weirdness: is there anyone here that can cure curses bestowed via ghost? It's beyond the little tricks I can do, but I know it's not beyond everyone. I can apparently pay now (thank you again for the money) and will search about if I need components.
