Sgaeyl almost torched a delivery guy this morning. I handled it. She's been sleeping a lot so I was sticking close anyw Just giving you a heads up that she's in a mood so maybe keep your distance. I'll take her out for a long flight when she stops growling at me.

It seems this world has done more to help my daughter grow wiser and more responsible than I thought I would ever be able to do (or maybe that's just Carol's influence). I should like to thank it properly for taking care of her for the two years she has been here. Plus, it seems I had also missed her nineteenth birthday in this world. (In my world, at least, she is still thriving but I will not give you details for Kamala says that is known as a spoiler.)

This Friday, I am making chicken biryani, samosa chaat, and panipuris for everyone who wishes to come by and have some. I have permission and help from the residents of Loch Laggan. I guarantee you will never find anything like my recipes in the streets of this Vallo.

I would definitely never be a camp counselor in some creepy camp where there were monsters chasing us.


But, hey, I'm back! ALSO, HI, MONICA! I AM GOING TO FIND YOU AND TACKLE YOU NOW.

Where I'm from, dragons aren't so uncommon a sight. The area that I live in is called the Dragon Empire, among other things, so it's probably not too hard to entertain the thought that they're rather around. Dragons rule, they're basically nobility, all of that.

But I can say that I've never once seen a dragon quite like these and that's a bit of a shame. We're all gold, red, white, silver, and so on back home, so these are a unique sight. I hope this isn't one of those Vallo Things, as I've heard and seen others put it, as it would be a shame if they disappeared one day.

Though I'm typing this as I'm walking to my room at the Crossed Quills and am being followed by a few of the large bee ones, though I don't know if they count as dragons. Regardless, I'm concerned I might have roommates, if I don't shake them.

I don't wa L I was going to try and say something inspiration about people leaving, but I've got nothing even after a week. Sorry if you've also lost someone recently, not something I wish on anyone.

Hi. If you heard this from me, no you didn't.

But I need help with Andarna. She's fine - we're fine. We got attacked by one of those bulette monsters? I fried it and Tairn took care of the rest but we had to rush in because Andarna couldn't get away fast enough and she almost got seriously injured.

You've all been around her long enough now to know she's not as strong of a flier as others, and that's because we were bonded when she was too really young, and shit went sideways like it always does and her growth was messed up because of me a battle we went through and how much energy she used during it. So some of her wing muscles didn't grow in properly and she can fly but she can't hold weight on her and she can't take off quickly.

But dragons are stubborn as fuck and bringing it up just hurts her feelings or makes her more stubborn. Tairn and Sgaeyl work with her, and I try as much as she'll let me but it's a delicate topic she hates talking about. So I could use help with people who can fly to spend time with her in the air, help her build those muscles and adapt, without making it seem like it's exercise? People I can trust that'll keep an eye on her and also maybe not get me eaten.

And if you've got any other ideas I am OPEN to hearing them. She won't accept a healer to look at it.

There is a sea serpent playing just outside the bay. There are plenty of fish out there, so I do not imagine she will see the need to come closer, but I do suggest no one try to interact with her; they are very dangerous, especially to ships.

Oh, and they are man-eaters.

If she does come close, let me know and I will try to lead her away.

If anyone would like a place to rest and revise between examinations, there are plenty of cushions and a supply of coffee at my pavilion. Also there is probably less chance of being attacked by one of those bunyip-like things that are around the place, and I will take care of them if any happen to come onto the grounds. I am very tired of having my studies always interrupted.

Violet says if I want to work with defense I have to play nice. If Sgaeyl were here, I wouldn't even need a team but She might have a point. (Don't let it go to your head, Violence.)

Is everyone accounted for or do we need to go fuck up more angry trees?

Kit and I were barely out of the forest when a violent head-ache struck us both simultaneously. Has anyone else been struck with this affliction? We are safely home now, the pain in the past and the mission complete, but it seemed wise to inquire.

So introduction 2.0? I'm Violet, I missed most of you arriving because I got here when everyone was gone, I guess? I added to the black dragon population since Tairn arrived a few days after I did, you might've seen him if you were at the battle, or at our first training session with our new Defense team.

I've noticed our world has a lot of different rules for dragons, so I figured I should go over them. Mostly so it's not awkward, again, when I speak for him? I promise I don't forbid him from talking or anything, it's just that our dragons only speak to their riders and other dragons. So if he's not talking to you, it's not personal, it's just you aren't worthy no that's rude his person.

Second is that, technically, it's considered rude to them for someone to talk directly to a dragon that isn't your own? But Tairn promised he'll be open-minded and he's not going to eat any allies who do. He just may not be in the mood to answer.

And this isn't really a rule but he has a mate back home that isn't here, so Tairn is crankier than usual. I can't blame him, it sucks, and actually physically hurts him to be away from her for long. He won't hurt anyone on purpose unless they threaten me or him, though.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I probably can't answer everything because dragons keep a lot of secrets, but this place even being weird and chaotic is a lot more calm than home and no one's even tried to murder me once.

Uh so is it always like this around here? Chaotic but quiet all at once?

I'm Violet. They told me I wasn't being held hostage and the mender dropped me off at the place where they gave me money? But I'd rather find my dragons. So if you see a giant black dragon followed around by a smaller black dragon, let me know? Neither of them are very good at being well-behaved if they think I'm in danger.

I'm almost done with my very first college semester ever, and I'm having this realization that there are many college professors who don't actually... know how to pace themselves during the year? Suddenly there's 50 topics being crammed into a week because we didn't finish the curriculum fast enough. I thought that's what the syllabus was for.

But, anyway. Are there are freshman year study groups out there that already exist? Not for specific classes but more of a keep each other accountable and actually study and not get distracted by YouTube kind of thing. Probably should have asked earlier but.. up to this point, I studied with Peter around.
