So, the DOA and network scrolling caught me up. I know there is SO MUCH going on right now — hi everyone, I hope you're staying safe and have food and aren't being tracked down by evil people — but waking up in a pile of leaves in the forest and finding out you disappeared for two weeks is still jarring as hell.

Testing, testing. Are you getting this? We're using my connection to the Black Lion and the quintessence tech in my arm to form a bridge between the networks. Basically, we're playing telephone through a giant sentient spaceship. Stop by and thank him for me? I'm sure he's stressed by all of this.

Anyway, assuming someone is reading this, on the other side of the portal is a parallel Vallo. We've made contact with a group of Outlanders here and confirmed that they are alternate versions of some of our lost people. Most of them have lived here for years and some have different memories of their home worlds. They've formed a rebellion against another group, made up of more of our lost people. They call themselves the Court of Revenants and they're the reason this message is filtered as best as I can get it.

Please be aware that Council members might look like someone you've lost, but they have apparently taken control of this Vallo through force and terror. There is a stalemate between the Council and the Rebels because any physical violence here creates what they call Echoes - spectral enemies that attack anyone close by and only stop when the fighting stops.

Now I'm sure you're wondering where our Outlanders are. I've been told the people here suffered a violent headache and a flash of memories that then faded when the portal opened on this side. It can't be a coincidence. I suspect our people are tangled up metaphysically with their counterparts. I have no idea how to separate them. If you have any theories, please don't be shy.

As for the rescue team, everyone is accounted for and safe. Our focus right now is planning a recovery mission. A few rebels were taken captive just before we arrived. Keith is We will get them back. In the meantime, please feel free to use this post to brainstorm and reconnect. Since I know it'll be a question on your minds, here is the list of the captured:

Okay this was all a lot today, but now that our [...] guests have been given the rundown, you all have your devices, we can answer some of your questions. I think we're all adjusting, so just bear with us. For some of us, it's been a long time since we've seen you. In some instances, if ever.

I'm also going to reiterate, please don't leave our location without bringing one of us with you. This isn't the Vallo you know and what we're dealing with is pretty shitty, so until we can figure out a larger plan, staying put is going to be safest. It's not just the Echoes. It's the people you think you know.

Soooo... if anyone wants to come help round up some of these tentacle cats at Boyd's that'd be great. I counted at least eight, possibly more. Five for sure have run off somewhere in the shop with various tools which I'd love to get back to, you know, do work. Menaces. Completely adorable, but menaces still the same.

So we've got quite a few of the Flerkens who didn't decide to adopt a human for the moment over at the Castle-ship. I've set up a livestream from the cameras going here [link]. Very much recommended viewing if you need a pick me up. Or just because.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of pissed about missing Fall entirely. And other things, like a wedding.

I'm fond of the holiday desserts I've discovered here so far. Maybe a little too fond. Luffy, come eat the rest of this chocolate pecan pie before I make myself sick.

A question for the rest of you, if you're bored and want to help a man out. What dessert would you recommend I try if you only had one pick? I have a soft spot for chocolate and citrus, but I'm willing to try anything once.

How long are you going to keep this up? Just give me an estimate.

Does anyone have any toddler-friendly ideas for Christmas or Solstice celebrations? We've only been able to do things at home or with Julian and Emma in the past few years, because we've had to keep a low profile, but that isn't as much of a problem here and I'd like to take the opportunity for us to go a little overboard this year as a family.

Also any tips to get a "cool" teenager to wear a matching "decidedly uncool" family sweater.

Has anyone experienced having ah- two spouses, here, from two separate times?

To explain a little further; Will and Jem were connected and shadowhunter partners before I met them. I had a connection with both of them, and ultimately became engaged to Jem. Circumstances out of our control separated us, but with his blessing, I later married Will. This was a hundred and fifty years ago. We had a full and happy and wonderful marriage with him, until he passed.

I'm immortal, so I continued on as I am now, but grieving. It took decades, but Jem was healed and we were able to be together again, we married a few years ago and now we have Mina.

They are both here, and I am very lucky, make no mistake, to be lucky enough to have them. Will is from the early days of our marriage, and Jem is from our current time - they're both very happy to be with each other again, as we've always loved all of each other, bonded as family. But it is becoming a little awkward and I haven't figured out how to breach the "who am I married to" topic in terms of intimacy with them.

I know this place is strange so if anyone has any advice, I welcome it.

Apparently I worked at the Underground as a trainer and didn't know about that until I was walking by the place and it triggered a memory. So I went in, got to talking to management, and I'm starting up sessions again at the Underground a couple of days a week. Group sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, individual sessions on an as need basis. If you're looking to sharpen up whatever skills you do have or are looking to learn self defense, come find me or message me.

I'll be focused on knife fighting, boxing, Taekwondo, and Krav Maga. Open to other martial arts and hand to hand.

And if you have a problem with a baby watching me kick your ass into shape, do not take this class. This is part of her training.

Has anyone who's suffered memory loss woken up with things restored as of yet? It seems I need a timeline of how long before this might be fixed, and when Vallo will right itself.

I am on vacation for the next two weeks starting tomorrow. We are getting married in exactly 5 days, Thursday is our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I am finalizing the menu with the caterer today, and the headcounts. Our wedding attire is at least finished with its final fittings.

Prompto and Gladio have both been hit with whatever this is. I don't have details yet, because Prompto spent twenty minutes hiding in the bathroom until Noctis just barged in and then he finally came out for breakfast. Gladio clarified a bit, but the best I've determined is that things are a far cry from our usual relationship.

I haven't the faintest if they've written their vows. Or if they'll be turned back by Saturday. Or if they'll remember any of this.

Vallo once again proves that it is nigh impossible to plan things and that all future engagements should be of the utmost chaos and done without previous planning. We should have eloped.

Either way this is a solid victory for me second only to getting a massive lick from one of the cows, slimy but totally worth it.

It has only been a couple of days since this household expanded by five small balls of fur, but it has made for an exciting couple of days. Here is a preview of the one kitten that took after their father, Caleb's hands for scale: ( Cut for image! )

All of the little fey kittens are doing fine, as well as their mother. I think we may have to start paying our babysitters more, though; it was not children sneaking out this time, but there was still a certain level of frazzled when we came home after the Halloween party to the news.

FAMILY - EXTENDED, FOUND, CR PEOPLE, ETC

I suspect that this round of us seeing one another is swiftly coming to an end, if previous years are any indication. At the risk of being emotional, I just wanted to say that it has been a delight, as ever, and I am grateful to have gotten to spend time and for the gift of a good argument with Gilmore over paying for restaurant bills.

If it is possible, perhaps one more get-together/family time could be arranged this evening at the Xhorhaus? There are kittens to be doted upon, should that be proper incentive.

TFW you forgot your girlfriend was a giant Christmas dork until you woke up to the sound of Mariah Carey screeching (no hate, Mariah, I love you) "All I Want for Christmas Is You" from the kitchen at 7:30 AM on November 1st.

But she's dancing with the kids and that's pretty cute, and there's also waffles, so it's all okay.

That awkward moment when you wake up in a field with a toddler because your house hasn't been built yet. Never change, Vallo.
