vallo

It it strange to think that three months has passed since I first found myself among those now calling Vallo home, and it still feels as though there is no shortage of interesting things to uncover. The sheer volume of books alone, the information stored in this device, it seems endless at times.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone for making this transition into a new world a smooth, and rather pleasant one. My life back home was one that required a certain level of seclusion and covertness for many years, it has been a nice change of pace to speak freely, and if I dare say, embark on friendships.

I would also ask a favour if I could. I am not - entirely alone here in Vallo. Five years ago I took into myself a part of Ultima, a god with rather nefarious designs for my world back home. I have kept him trapped for some time now, and am more than willing to continue to do so. However it is very clear to me that what is possible here may be boundless, and that a more viable solution might be had. With that, I would like to ask if anyone here has had to contain a god before, or part of one, and how it was done. I am, of course, not asking for anything to be done at this moment, or for anyone to take on this task themselves. I had just thought perhaps it time to begin gathering information, to see if there are other options at hand.

So, if no future children appeared for some of us does that mean we don't have children in the future?

This is my current thought and I would like to hear what people think.

I've made so much food today and I'm still going. I've been sending a lot of it upstairs, but there's no shortage. If anyone who lost someone today doesn't feel like doing things like caring about food right now, I'll bring it right to you.

Hey, I'm at the fish market in New Asgard and there's some commotion down here. Is this anyone's ship? Cause I think a couple of fishermen are trying to play finder's keeper right now and Thor looks like he's losing his patience.

It was my best friend's birthday yesterday, and I'm pretty sure this is the first year I haven't actually seen him to tell him happy birthday. Which really sucks and kind of puts things into a depressing sort of perspective.

So. Good things about being here and not home? Dramatic reduction in things trying to kill me. A 100% reduction in instances of possession. Less rain. Recent fun with flooding aside, I mean. But that was an anomaly right? So it doesn't count. Because in Beacon Hills that's just a standard week. Maybe this place just needs better soil drainage. I don't know what that entails, but probably something involving a lot of sand.

I should probably be writing a paper on the etymology of the term serial killer instead of wondering about soil drainage but everyone knows that was that guy from the FBI in the 70s. So that's boring.

Well, it was SUPPOSED to be bright and sunny. I was going to go ride some waves. This is a shit start to this day already.

This is officially happening! I'm still working on ironing out the specifics right now, but things are coming soon. I'll be popping up again in a few weeks with info about skating lessons for anyone who needs them.

Anyone want a castle?

No, seriously. There's a castle up in the north area of Vallo that was overrun by those hands and I guess the owner was so damn generous for the save he wants me to have it. But it comes with a condition.

You gotta marry his statue daughter.

And listen, Annabeth may not be here right now, but I love her and straight up not interested. BUT, I figured someone out there might if they really want a castle.

Heeeeey, Vallo. Anyone know where the north side castle is? If not, I guess follow the sign of the water spout because I got a castle here with a giant hand problem. They were pretty fast and got to me but I was able to subdue at least two. But I could use a hand or two!

But Deathripper is just so violently happy? It's hard not to be happy for him? Living his best helhound life, sometimes with a sibling team up. He's the best boy.

So. That was a thing.

I ended up with 27 prepared campfire cones, 14 hotdogs on a stick, a gallon bag of samoa chex mix, a cooler full of snap peas and cut cucumbers, and a container full of no-energy bites.

I may have over-prepared for St. Mark's Eve tonight. So if you'd like to join us and help eat the snacks, we'll be at [cemetery] in the forest from 11pm-2am. We welcome the company while we watch for the ghosts of those that will pass this year walk-through the cemetery.

Morbid, I know, but tradition for us. I used to fast but learned a few years ago that it wasn't actually necessary, thus-- snacks.

The geese return and they return with a vengeance. If you are uninjured from yesterday's events and are not under siege from these geese yourself, please come assist. The helhounds and fighters in the village are holding them at bay for now, but their numbers seem to be increasing.

Shiro, I am rerouting half of Team B to assist here, but the rest are on their regular patrol shifts and picking up the slack of those in New Asgard or elsewhere.
