June 4th was would have been my one-year wedding anniversary. I will start by saying this: I'm not devastated, and I have obviously not turned half of Vallo into a sitcom starring myself. I am fine. Truly. For those who do not know me, Vallo took away my husband. [...] And then my boyfriend, technically, but he was the boyfriend I had back home that was murdered by Thanos. That is slightly confusing

Anyway, this post is not about grief and I am not alone on this boat. This is more about... hope, I suppose? A lot of us know well how chaotic Vallo's nature is, bringing in the people you love only to take them away later. Or they bring you someone who is not from your world but you bond with them regardless. You learn to love them. Then there is the opportunity to take the plunge into something deeper, and you should. It does not matter what Vallo can do and don't hesitate because of Vallo.

If you want to, then do it. Make the memories. Date that person, marry them, try to make a family if that is what you want. The what if thoughts might always do the worst damage to you than this place could.

So the info that our time traveling wizard duo was able to pull from 2023 (with the help of you fine nerds back there too, thank you for that) was actually good shit, because as of a bit ago we were able to use it to figure out where the weapon is at that we can use to take down Interitus once you folks in the past destroy the simulacrum. It's in the city, because of fucking course it is, hidden away.

Naturally this means we have to put a group together to extract it. We've got our secret hidey hole way into the city to get in, but we're going to need a mix of Sneaky Shits and Fighty Fucks to do it, so ivolunteerastribute.gif and all that shit below, visitors and our regular crew alike. As always, this isn't a guaranteed safety sort of situation, but we'll need to get a lay of the land ahead of time to at least mitigate. They're a bunch of dicks, though, so no doubt something will come up so know that before you step up.

Hello. It feels odd to introduce myself as many of you already know me, but I am Essek Widogast and I'm here with Caleb (also) Widogast. If my husband's perfect recall can be relied upon, which I am willing to stake most everything on it, the versions of us that you know normally should still be deep within the Aeor that was brought to Vallo, being very much themselves while surrounded by ancient Exandrian magic and technology.

Which is to say, and I'm doing a poor job of getting to the point, we are from a different timeline and time. A few hours ago, we were in 2033 within a branch of the future that is hopefully not your own. The Temporal Concurrence and the aligning of the leylines does, it seem, allow for some otherwise so-called impossible magic when one(s) puts many months of work into entirely too many sleepless nights their wizard mind(s) to it.

I cannot promise to keep a long story short as there are many moving parts and I tend to be accidentally verbose in the best of times, but I think many of you may remember the attack from Interitus that happened in August of 2021. He was not as gone as we had all hoped and is now wreaking havoc upon my and Caleb's timeline. Thanks to the concurrence and the influx of magic, our intel is advising that he is planning on ascending beyond his current form into something akin to godhood. Should he do so, his powers will be made more or less limitless and there will be no stopping him from traveling freely within timelines to destroy every version of Vallo, as has been his will all along. Our version has just been practice for him.

As for why we have broken through literal time and space to visit the past, we are seeking aid. This has already been discussed with the DOA, but there are a few things that we are here for specifically.

First, Interitus is using a simulacrum of sorts as a power focus, which has allowed him to bide his time in our world and eventually build up enough power in secret to take over. We believe that this simulacrum had already arrived in March of 2023--in February, specifically. We do not know where, but our hope is that you fine people will be able to locate and destroy it, specifically at the height of the concurrence to not give away our plans.

Second, Caleb and I are in search of a very specific tome from the Great Library. We unfortunately do not have access to the Library in our time as you do now, but we believe that the tome we are looking for has information regarding locating the object needed to pierce through Interitus's magical defenses. If any librarian friends are willing to volunteer to help with that, as we do need this before we return to our time tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, and I realize that this is the largest ask of them all, a vision from one of the Prigany psychics has shown us that there are specific people in the future that aid in the efforts. Our understanding is that these people come to us from your timeline and travel to our own. We have a list of those people, who I will be filtering separately with more information. Please know there is no expectation. We are not here to force anyone to help, regardless of psychic visions.

All right, I believe I've got it: Halloween is a popular holiday that pokes fun at the concept of death, supernatural, and the afterlife. There's candy, community gatherings, and a bit of mystery (what with the masks and costumes), but ultimately the whole thing celebrates the return to shorter days, colder weather, and the quiet sleep of winter.

Yes? That's it, isn't it? I've done a bit of studying and poking about on the topic. We didn't have anything quite like it at home, at least, not openly. Hello, hello. I've questions about this Moon Day, if you don't mind? You see, back home, there was a whole line of beliefs and magical abilities bolstered by the night sky - glintstone sorceries was the most common area of specialization (and mine!), but a few focused on moon magic. I'm very curious to see if this astronomical event has any effect on my spells. Does it truly happen but once a year? I suppose I'd better get busy if I want to get any research done whatsoever. Moon magic isn't my strongest specialization but I'd be a bad member of the Caria family if I couldn't manage any of it. So, questions!

• Is moon magic typically affected by this event?
• Is there an astrologer about that can read my fortune? I've not had it done since-- well, insert horrid things happening back home here.

So, shit sucks from time to time around here, especially with people leaving. Dan was here for a long fucking time, and there's a lot to kind of pick up and readjust there. One of the things he ran was Death Club, Wednesday evenings at the DOA building.

I'm not a therapist or a nurse or qualified specialist or whatever but I've been going to them since they were started up and I'll help run the Death Club one until someone more qualified shows up and wants to do it? I don't want to see it stop or fall to the wayside so. 8pm, DOA building on Wednesdays. If you've died back home, or come here from a point of death, or you have memories or knowledge of dying at home after, it's a safe place to listen and talk about those experiences.

Eleanor always brought amazing donuts so we'll have to match that too. There's always lots of snacks and coffee, and no pressure to talk, just standard support group stuff. But cooler cause death is metal.
