Just a heads up Keith and I came across some weird like... giant jello monsters? Out on patrol this morning. Which is kind of equal parts gross and fascinating, but neither of us have seen them kicking around before so maybe it's a new Vallo being Vallo thing. Anyways... one went down pretty easy with physical attacks and one we had to set on fire so not really sure what the rules are here on these ones - but keep an eye out!

He's gone. Really gone. I'll be in a cloud and stupor of self-medication if anyone needs me. Don't.

Ronan does good tattoo work, go pay him money to get some badass body decorations. A phoenix~ be cliche or whatever, I don't give a fuck, it looks rad, and it's healed in time for my photoshoot so double bonus.

Now that was a party. Had a great time, you two lovebirds. Cross my fingers and toes you aren't sucked into a hell dimension where some wolf-masked motherfucker hits on you and you have to summon rats to escape. Ain't love sweet.

In other news. I've been sitting on them but if anyone's feeling nostalgic, I woke up to a whole buncha records from home. Not all of them, but a chunk of the heavy hitters - the Sha Na Nas, the Read It and Weeps, and a chunk of Frank Spicer's back catalog. I even got me a old Louise Brighton B-side. Now, I know none of that sounds familiar to any of y'all uncultured swine, save maybe background music to your trauma, but me? I got me a complicated relationship with Blackreef's soundtrack. So I've been ~enjoying~ myself, been fucking around with my record player, making improvements, making it purr. It needed a new cartridge which was fun to find here in Vallo. Had me a nice little Sunday looking through the junk markets. No one shot me. If this is retirement, call me an old-ass geezer 'cause I fucking love it.

Still at Sofia's. Been waiting to get bored. Hasn't happened yet. Eldritch garlic knots have got themselves a way of preying on the mind.

Hello, good morning--happy Thursday? Take your pick of greetings, I suppose. A friend (hello, Dorian) made a suggestion to me yesterday that's been on my mind, so I wanted to see if there would be any interest before I considered it too thoroughly.

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Orym and back home, in another life, I was at one point a guard for the leader of my people, the Air Ashari. We practiced the Zeph'aeratam, which is a form of exercise that involves a lot of fluid movements and poses, practiced breathing, and also incorporates your weapons of choice--for me it's a shortsword, but there were others who had greatswords, longswords, even daggers. The exercises were a mixture of flexibility training and a source of calm. As an example, I greet my mornings this way, and sometimes end my days, depending on how trying a day it happened to be.

To make an already long story a bit shorter, would there be any interest from others to learn this? If there isn't, that's fine, but on the off chance that there is, I wanted to get an idea of numbers before I tried scheduling anything official. It might be once or twice a week, probably more late morning than the very early that I get up for myself. It can also be weapons optional, too, so don't feel like you need to take up arms if you're interested.

Anyway. Eleanor wanted to celebrate her moving in with a party and so next Saturday we’re gonna do a thing at the penthouse. If your plus one isn’t on here, you can bring them. I’ll tell everyone the ‘do not go’ places mostly cause if you fuck with certain things, your blood will end up outside your body and dead body clean up is a hassle. Much less all the blood. If you want to bring something, go for it. Otherwise, I’m not super bothered.

I'm pleased to say that this latest bout of madness has bypassed me entirely, and I'm happy to take the splitting headache I woke up to this morning, thanks, I think, to the nearly two years of memories I've suddenly acquired, if it means bypassing some of the less pleasant effects of ... whatever all of this is.

Advil truly is one of the more useful inventions of the last two centuries. Today, I think, it supersedes 'hot showers' as the one thing that I would bring back home if I could.
