If anyone was wondering, Ahtohallan is the glacier that was spotted. It's from my home and is located in the Dark Sea - for those who live in the Enchanted Forest, it was always a myth to them but I discovered it's very real and apparently it found its way here too. Ahtohallan is a visual archive of the past - if you ever wanted to see bits and flashes of your life played back in front of you with ice statue actors, it's a good place to go to re-connect with your past.

However, it's also very dangerous - the caverns are treacherous and going too deep can cause problems, not only with physical danger but sometimes connecting with the truth can be difficult. However, it can also be useful or bring closure and I'd like for Ahtohallan to be a resource for those who live here. Is there anyone who wouldn't mind combining magics with me to make it safer for those who choose to venture there? I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone know what's up with the sudden glacier showing up off the coast? We spotted it after my new Monday morning ritual of getting kidnapped by a winged horse and getting flown over water as a scare tactic. There's music coming from it too - we didn't land on it because a) it was cold and b) it felt like magic and I don't mess with that unless I know for sure it's not a trap or hostile.

I'll send coordinates to whoever needs it.

Goodness, the weather is still not pleasant (not to state the obvious). I'll be outside the Art of Expression in a chilly sort of bubble though - air pocket, maybe? But there will be a popsicle station, since one of my projects with the kids has included making those and turning them into colorful, rainbow, fruit-laden works of art. Please come by if you're in a popsicle mood.

And I'm going to send Gale out to do some cooling too so if you want a wind spirit to give you a nice breeze, let me know.

I seek to fill two full-time paid positions at The Art of Expression:

Assistant Director for Youth Programs: This position oversees all activities designed for those under 18 years old, including Youth Art Camps, children's art classes, and the Artistic Apprentice program. We also aim to expand our programming for children in the coming year, so the ideal candidate will have a creative soul and an enterprising spirit in addition to experience in managing multiple activities simultaneously. Knowledge and skills of the artistic, educational, and organizational varieties are appreciated. The Assistant Director for Youth Programs reports to the Director and supervises a variety of part-time staff.

Assistant to the Director: This position is largely administrative, requiring excellent organizational skills and occasional diplomacy to assist the Director in prioritizing and managing their frequently daunting workload. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with technology, as the Acting Director is not, and be proficient in keeping notes and taking messages. An interest in art of some kind will be helpful, but is not necessarily required.


The Art of Expression is also in need of:
- Part-time instructors in specific art forms. As the center grows and becomes more involved in the community, so too does demand for opportunities to learn. Instructors in musical instruments and sculpture are particularly sought, but I would like to generally expand our list of artists who might be willing to share their craft with children or adults.

- Established artists willing to participate in the Artistic Apprentice program for teenagers. This usually requires a minimum of 1-3 hours per week of working one-on-one with a young person (age 14 to 18) with a serious interest in your art form. This is by nature a small and very focused program, working with young people who have base skills and want to refine them and explore the possibilities of professional artistry in the future.

Good morning, gracious volunteers. All photo shoots are now scheduled for 27th of June through the 2nd of July, and I think we have successfully accommodated everyone's professional and social calendars.

Please see the schedule* posted on my office door at The Art of Expression or on the website to confirm your assigned call times.

When the time comes for shooting, please show the punctuality and preparation that indicate proper respect for one's fellow artists and honor to the artistic process.


* OOC note: We're handwaving this schedule OOC. Just don't talk too specifically about exactly when your call time is. Time slots are morning, afternoon, or night; "behind the camera" folks will be called earlier than models are; assume everyone here is awesome at their jobs. I'll be making an OOC post with more detail for discussing specifics for character whatnots.

I took Nokk for a ride this morning and now am quite sure there are earth giants from home present which is sort of surprising, because I didn't think this world accommodated such large creatures. They're mountain-sized and sleep near the water during the day, so you might see substantial rock noses poking up and I'd just caution to not tickle those, even though it's very tempting.

But at any rate, I'd like to go check on them (and confirm my suspicions - maybe these are other rock giants? Or Vallo rock giants I just never noticed before) but would appreciate some backup if anyone would not mind coming with me? It's very interesting because all of the elemental spirits are now here, myself included - I can only wonder if Ahtohallan will show up next. I know I've not seen a glacier here yet.

SO, I guess Vallo and I are still on good terms with the getting-things-from-home aspect of everything because I woke up this morning and found LUCKY!

Hello, Zuko he. I've done most of the prep work so my first announcement is that next month I plan to re-open my Uncle's tea shop - but since there's already several good tea shops out there and I'm not great at making t, this place is going in a different direction.

It's being rebranded as an ice cream and boba shop. I haven't settled on a name yet. And I need to hire people who know ice cream and boba to help out, if anyone's looking for work. The building work has been largely completed, so the hard part is over. Who knew cooling systems cost so much?

I've had this obnoxious little snow thing following me around since yesterday and I can't make it go away. The damn thing's asleep in my hood right now, which means I can't even put my hood up.

The fuck am I supposed to do with this thing? Does it... eat?

I have been working very closely with the Brorose coven and recently sold an auragraph that I did at one of the local art shows - it was a fun time and I returned home with some extra money but I also think I returned with a bit of a cold and

Oh right if anyone sees little snow creatures running about? Miniature snow-people with cute faces? They're mostly harmless, just a bit mischievous, and happen to appear in threes when I sneeze and I've been sneezing a lot, so. Again, I apologize. Please let me know if I can something. Do something?

I might go back to bed first though.
