Sooo, I know it's late in the year and all, but what sort of school clubs are there? Not anything like chess or math, but the fun stuff! Comics, video games, drawing — all three, maybe? I'd like to get involved in something! I think it'd be good for me, you know? I haven't been up to a whole lot aside from getting settled.

I said it last year, but apparently I have to say it again this year, since people keep asking: there are no oysters in the summer. This is oyster spawning season. If you got oysters now, they would be soupy and disgusting, and you would be preventing future generations of oysters. This also goes for mussels. Get some damned shrimp and scallops and wait for the Month of Harvest September.

While I'm making announcements: Do not waste your time reading The Outlander's Lady by Belladonna Seward. It's clearly written by someone who never stopped to talk to any of us, and the "plot" is just a thin excuse for increasingly dramatic sex.

Guess what! Since we have so many more kids than usual, Art of Expression is launching a special session of ART CAMP!!!

Instead of our usual signups, this time we're just doing show-ups! Starting this morning, kids from 5 to 12 will be with me in The Big Classroom at Cloud Recesses, and we'll have a super great time playing with all kinds of media, including paints and pastels and clay! There's room for all ability and experience levels, so if you want to make art, just come on up the mountain!

If you're bringing a kid, make sure they wear something they can get messy, and pack a lunch. If they need any special accommodations, just let me know and I will make it happen.

And if there are any kids who see this and want to come but don't have an adult yet, just pipe up! We'll find someone to show you the way here and make sure you've got a good lunch.

AND THEN at the end, they call it a "date". And you internally have a little spasm and freak out but don't say anything because maybe they just mean "date" like, friend-date, right? 🤔

Also I know that the upcoming holiday is one that people have mixed feelings about, and that's okay! No one should tell you how to feel about anything, you're entitled to your feelings. Mostly I think that more love in the world is never a bad thing, whether that's romantic love, family love, friend love, or even self-love! And sometimes the last thing is the hardest one to do, so if that's the journey you're on, A++++ job you, I'm so proud of you!

But don't forget that books make AMAZING gifts for the special someone in your life (family, friend, significant other/s, or yourself!) and now that I've worked at both sides of the store I can recommend all kinds of books! Chastity's Nook was definitely more of a learning experience than the Enchanted one, but at the end of the day I think good for the centaurs, everyone deserves love!

There's something really lovely about walking around at night to look at all the Christmas lights. It's so peaceful, quiet. My Pictureworks project looks hideous, all the algebra has fallen out of my brain, my final paper for Composition is only half done, I screwed up my bibliography on the other paper, and the end of the semester is SO SOON. I need options other than "cry more" and "swear at a computer" and "eat every snack." Pls halp.

Also if anybody is good with word processing programs and can figure out what the hell I did to my bibliography to make the indents do what they're doing, I will draw literally anything you want for you.

How am I still finding glitter all over the kitchen? It has been almost two weeks since that pixie showed up and I swear I've cleaned my kitchen at least a dozen times and cast two cleaning cantrips and still found my oven mitts filled with glitter today??
