Any chance anyone can spare some magic that might locate something? Something like a dagger?
Not that I'm irresponsible with my weapon care -- because I'm honestly not, those daggers are my children -- but uh. One is missing and I can't find it anywhere and since we have actual children about, I'm concerned so. Yeah. Magic? It was here last night, so it's got to be around here somewhere.
And, for the love of all the gods, please no one tell Diego.
For those of you that aren't aware, I applied for a job at a youth center in the city a couple weeks back, had a couple of interviews, and this morning was offered the position. I accepted it, though I'm still in vague shock as I was definitely not expecting to actually get to this point but I don't start until the beginning of next month so hopefully it will all sink in sometime before then. I've never had a real job before that didn't require me to use daggers to complete my duties so it's a shift.[* - as always, feel free to assume; vax makes friends easily enough!]
Anyway -- shock or not, I'm not one to pass up a chance to celebrate something and it's always more fun to celebrate with friends. I know it's last minute so no hard feelings if you already have your dance cards full for a Friday, but I feel as though drinks are in order, at least. Quills, tonight? Perhaps not a proper pub crawl, but we'll see where the night takes us? We can sort out a babysitter for the girls, maybe? Another question here, just for the hell of it?
I was going to offer to be your wing man (complete with a pun about having wings), but I don't know if that's weird or not, so instead I'm just going to say that I think it is good you're considering to put yourself out there, since there seemed to be some indecision, and also we should definitely get Velora a child-sized bow.[ooc - vax's filter to vex works, but feel free to have stuff fail in the entry if you want]
Waking up with a mash of new memories crammed into ones head isn't something I'd recommend. Have any of you dealt with that yet?
I don't think I'll be into the shop today
I should go to the cli. SorSorry. I have a few injuries I need to look into, along with a headache even the Mother above can't cure. And a house to say hello to.
I did swing by that youth center that we talked about for Velora, just to check it out. I'm probably being overly cautious, but I can accept being an overprotective brother/legal guardian.
It looks good, overall. The kids seemed to be enjoying themselves and the staff was pretty attentive. I saw a list of classes that they have to keep them busy and I felt like Velora would be interested in more or less all of them, so that's a good sign. They are looking for staff and volunteers, though.
I was thinking It's
[...] Would it be crazy if I tried something like that? I'm hesitant since outside of our sister and Kiri, my track record with handling youths isn't the greatest. So -- I don't know.
So there's a high-rise full of smug pricks in suits, right? Some money has carefully exchanged hands and now I have unfettered access to the building. After we sort out whether this circle of death is all hands on deck or not, do you want to race me around the office in those wheeled chairs? We can leave foul-smelling gifts for them to come back to on Monday.
Kiri drew this and I thought that you would both appreciate it. She has a Valentine for Grogu, as well.
Hello, I know that tomorrow will be a busy day and I do not want to take any of you away from your significant others or the event (we will be there, of course), but if you have time on Monday, I would like to steal away an hour or so if possible. I have
a giftsomething to show all of you.
You will be available after the event tomorrow for food and a little privacy, I hope?
Once the imminent threat of murderous fowl has passed and you have time, I'd like to talk to you about officially joining one of your defense teams. Wherever you need me. It's more or less what I did back home, so I have the experience, it just took me longer than it should have to decide that using that experience here was more important than trying something different.
