I'm really glad I went ahead and booked the big room at Level Up Lounge because, as I hoped predicted, October decided to be October and the family size has expanded! I'm so glad so many of you are here!

So, on that note, we're still on for Catra's birthday party this Friday starting at 6:00 PM. We're getting a buffet set up so there will be plenty of food for everyone! Anyone who volunteered to help decorate the room, come down around 4:00 so we've got plenty of prep time.

If anyone doesn't know, Catra's back to her normal age and we have our future twins here (Hope and Mara, who think the network is lame and for old people, by the way, their words). Kids of all ages more than welcome, just... don't make me break up any fights, I guess?? NO KNIVES, KEITH & CO.

Adam and I woke up to a little person at Grayskull this morning. He tackled me in bed to wake me up and asked why Daddy and, which wasn't startling at all. His name is Dare, and he's your nephew/grandson.

Hey everyone! Hope you've all been having a great fall.

It's been a long time since the last time we did a team building camp out, and we've got a lot of new team members to break in, so I figured 'hey, what better time than now, before it gets too cold out?'

Would you guys be interested in doing another camp out? Sometime in November, I thinking, if anyone has any particular days that work best for them. Marshmallows and hot dogs over the fire. Maybe roast a boar if Kratos wants to lead another boar hunt?

And I was thinking we could finish it off with the Wild Hunt. Last year, one of the beasts from Preternia followed me

I have a very important announcement, everyone. As of last night, one Catra Applesauce Rainbowfist-Meowmeow (yes, that is her full, official name) has decided that she... wants to have a birthday party this year.



(I know, I was also shocked.)

In order to make my beautiful wife's dream come true, I'm going to book a room at Level Up Lounge in the city for Friday, October 27th. They've got a big room that holds fifty, so I think I'm going to grab that one because we know how weird Vallo likes to get in October. I'm looking into either a buffet set-up or catering, but there will definitely be food and lots of cake. They have plenty of kid-friendly games so bring your little ones!

Let me know if you're planning to join us!

Note to self: When the little piece of paper in the geocache box tells you, "don't put the ring on, it's cursed" - don't put the ring on, it's cursed. Sure, it's the curse of a thousand hives and not something terrible (like death) but still. Make better choices, Kate of the Future.

I don't know if there is anyone else that practices Druidcraft or something like that, but don't try to use it to perk up your cut flowers or houseplants right now. I thought maybe they'd be exempt from all this, but uh. They're not.

Anyway, hello again. I'm Marlena, mother of a set of adult twins that are known to fight in a loin cloth (Adam, please tell me you did something about that) and a golden tiara (Adora, please tell me I'm a grandmother) while they're over six feet tall.

I think I've hit the limit of how many days I can go to work, sulk, go to Hell, sulk and not be out and about doing anything so does anyone have any news of fun stuff happening soon?

Fair warning: I may decide by tonight to forgo everything and go sulk again. But I am trying.

Heeeeey, Vallo. Anyone know where the north side castle is? If not, I guess follow the sign of the water spout because I got a castle here with a giant hand problem. They were pretty fast and got to me but I was able to subdue at least two. But I could use a hand or two!

ooc: prior to this, feel free to spot some weather anomalies in the distance involving a mini hurricane with thunder and waterspouts and such in the location of the castle.

My child this morning:

"Why couldn't the hand go on the carnival ride? Because it said it had to be five feet and it was only five fingers."

I spent most of the day today dealing with malicious hands creeping about the forest, so I'll keep this more brief than I otherwise might.

A year ago today I turned up in this pocket of the universe, had my world turned upside down, and I'm grateful for it every damned day. Even the ones like today. Because at the end of it all, I get to come home to the most incredible person I have ever met, chase around a set of toddlers that can test even vampiric energy limits, and fight off multiple animals for the best spot on the bed. It's more than I deserve, and never taken for granted.

I really am sorry about the hands. Not that they're my fault - they are emphatically not my fault, in fact! But they are from home. You'll want to watch out for the ones that do magic the most. It's a real bugger to get out of their paralysis spell in time to avoid getting whomped.

Speaking from experience, I'm afraid.

Weaknesses include fire and beating the tar out of them. Good luck!!!

Defense teams should be aware that a giant hand (taller than a man) attacked at Cloud Recesses today. Gladiolus, Katou Yue, and I were able to eliminate the threat without serious injury to anyone here, but it is seldom that a trouble in Vallo is strictly isolated.

This particular hand appeared on a rooftop and attempted to crush me under its palm. It also fired a dart equipped with a paralytic poison which thankfully is not deadly. We were able to dispatch it quickly enough that I do not know what else it might be capable of.
