Is there a reason some journalist professors can be a bit assholeish? Am I supposed to be getting prepared for the "real world" of journalism or something?

	I don't have any journalism professors myself, but it does feel like there are a handful of professors that just really have something to prove to their students and do it by being, well, assholeish. 	I don't think their plans for toughening up students is working. Abi/Nancy Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm just trying to catch up on schoolwork right now because as the professor says "just because people left and you broke your leg last week doesn't mean the world is going to stop rotating". No, I think it just chases people out who might be really good in the profession. Like, did they ever consider that maybe they should try to change the toxic environment instead of the people going into it?
