I have been here for a handful of weeks now and while the break from my previous reality hasn't been too unwelcome, I'm officially reaching the stage where I need more to do. I don't have much experience actually finding a job given that I kind of stepped into my last one at home, so I was hoping that I might start here to potentially get some feelers.
That being said, is anyone by chance looking for someone with a background in mechanical engineering, plus a dash of industrial? I realize that's a bit specific, but aim high, right?

Not to add to the flow of confusing thoughts out there, but to the person considering what classes they ought to be taking: Death in Perspective sounds pretty fucking cool, I am just saying. I really don't know what Star Trek is and only have the bare minimum grasp of the concept of physics, but Death in Perspective. Do take this with a grain of salt as the only reason I got through my schooling was because my sister did most of my homework for me, as I was far too busy learning how to throw knives and hating my father as all angst ridden teens are, so I am not someone to give advice about higher education. But, you know, there's some unsolicited advice from someone apparently loosely affiliated with the goddess of death for you anyway.
Also, everything about your significant others is going to rot my teeth. It's very sweet.

I wanted to give a quick thank you for the help and explanation on what is going on here, as well as a quick apology for the near zap I gave the poor person who found me. This doesn't happen to me every day, though if I'm truly not alone in having been brought here as I said, I guess that I'm not a special circumstance in that. I'm choosing to take that as a comfort.

I went outside this morning, and it looks like the Spirit Oasis from the North Pole showed in the backyard. At least, the little garden and the pool with the moon and ocean spirits in it. So it's from before it was attacked, I guess.
I just thought I'd let everyone know. I know I was told things from home show up here sometimes, but I'm not sure how it would work here as opposed to how it works in our world, if Aang and Jinora, you want to check it out? I guess the water works the same for healing, but because it's so powerful, we should probably use it just for emergencies. We don't want to abuse it.

Hello! Jinora, again. This time, I'm looking for a job, I think. I [...] don't really have standard qualifications. Aside from being a Master Airbender, I can also commune with spirits and project my own spirit. Which, in my world, lends to very specific work. I'm a quick learner, though! I think I'm good with people? I'm definitely better with animals. And I'm willing to work hard doing whatever! Does anyone have any ideas or leads possibly?
