In my time, I don't think I ever dealt with this much heat before though my understanding after communicating about it with several people over the past few days is that as the years/decades/centuries go by, it is normal for temperature to climb up to blistering degrees that is probably not safe for any of us who are used to wearing BLOODY CORSETS AND LONG DRESSES because heaven forbid society learn that women have ankles and knees.

But I cannot deal with this anymore even with wearing an adorable little sundress I bought last month.

I've had a spark of magic from my world before I showed up and I wish to learn it. Preferably ASAP. Preferably cooling spells on my own body or something. Also ASAP.

(That's probably not actually feasible, I'm just exaggerating to let it be known how miserable I am at the moment.)

I've been sitting on the deck of the Merry for the last few hours with a book. I'd like to be reading, but I keep staring out at the water. I had a really good time a few weeks back when we all switched powers and I got to swim in the sea for the first time.

Is it possible to feel nostalgic for something that didn't happen that long ago?

Is world-traveling a new part of magic? It hadn't been part of my life in the last two decades as far as I remember but this is fascinating if it is now.

Hello. I would like to know if the following people are here since they're my closest ties: Catherine Kaur, Robert Blyth, Maud Blyth, Edwin Courcey, Violet Debenham, Jack Alston, Alan Morris.

It's been a rather eventful week for me! Unexpectedly. Discovered the Outlander coven, that was enjoyable! Thanks for making me feel welcome even out of place as I was - I'm used to being around magicians now but foresight isn't thought of as magic in our world and I'd never be welcomed into something like that unless it was for a laugh.

Does anyone know how to continue correspondence with a ghost, by any chance? My medium is back at home and would roll her eyes at me for that (and every) question anyway.

And finally, the most important. Which of these two gentlemen do you think is more of an Edwin? Both are healthy and playful. The one on the right is very keen on licking.

Right then! Just wanted to pop on now that I've got a bit more of a handle on things, and say a heartfelt cheers and thanks to those that helped me during my quite ghastly arrival. Even those of you that laughed at me - hope to have brought some humor for your day.

I never got to make proper introductions, all said. I'm Si Robin Blyth, I come from the same ah- time? place? world? These things go over my head - as Edw Ms. Violet Debenham, and Mr. Edwin Courcey, but! If you hadn't guessed by my previous blundering, I am not lucky enough to be as gifted as they are with magic, just stumbled into it by accident and then ended up with unexpected psychic abilities! Though, I've learned that having foresight really isn't that helpful at all, in the end, especially not when they couldn't even warn me I'd be walking into a but apparently I'm not the only one of my kind here?

It is nice being able to say that part to the general public! So far I've heard of the same-sex marriages, the fact that women have far more freedom, and experienced now the indoor plumbing and hot showers on command. Tell me of more wonders? What am I missing? I've become acquainted with several bars and taverns since my arrival so that part is covered now do your worst.

Ah-- Hello, good morning. I know that it is early for most, but well. I seem to have lost track of the hour.

A thought occurred to me in the night while I was trancing. It--well If you are unfamiliar, it is something that my variation of elves can do, wherein we do not have to sleep and instead go into a meditative trance and do exercises--it hardly matters, but I generally go over thoughts of whatever I am working on or Ca so my thoughts were lingering on this issue we have been going over regarding the portal beast since yesterday and--

I apologize, I did not actually finish my trance and am surviving on coffee and hope at the moment.

Anyway, I had a thought, specifically from the transmutation books that Prigany brought and a few specific runes that those idiots the culprits had tried to use and everything else surrounding the situation and, this might sound mad and I will need someone or a few someones to look over my work, but I am certain that they somehow managed to turn a waypoint crystal into the creature that we have been dealing with today and all of the portals and its glitching and disappearing are stemming from the fact that the magic of the waypoints just shouldn't be within something living and breathing like that.

As I said, I am humble enough to want someone to look over what led me to this conclusion as I have all of the work to show for it, but my humbleness ends at a point as I do have confidence here. There is nowhere for us to send the creature, as they were created and are truly from our Vallo. Perhaps this is something to confirm with them, if communication is at all possible?

But, ah--that is all. It feels as though this narrows our options.

It occurs to me that we will need a way to contain the portal beast once we manage to find her (or him? I don't suppose anyone knows?).

I have been working on a spell which I think could be effective to use, especially if it's paired with some sort of structure, but I will need a couple more days to work out the details, and as I cannot cast the spell myself, I will need someone with more powerful magic to do so and so I think I will need time to craft the spell to tailor the spell to their magic.

I have been unable to complete my normal tasks for several days now. In exchange, I have been able to master a few small magicks that have been helpful in a way. It is not a fair trade, but at least I am not helpless. In times like these, I am grateful for the allies I have made as I do not feel vulnerable to enemies.

However, Atreus has helped me realize that I am feeling things I do not want to feel. Many of you are carrying emotional burdens and are putting on a false face so that others do not see how you are truly feeling. I would suggest finding someone to help you past these burdens or to help release them. I have dealt with too many spirits with lingering regrets that I would not wish the same upon you.

Also, I would like to return to not understanding how you feel.

Oi. Who's got my magic? This sort of thing is considered very taboo where I come from, although I appreciate it's another amusing Vallo quirk, it doesn't mean I have to like it.

After figuring out explosives weren't the best route, the vacuum cleaner I rigged has contained the slime without them getting out and nobody has had to touch them.

Who do I send the containers to? I can incinerate them.

Let me preface this post by saying I know what I'm discussing here will make people uncomfortable. Trust me when I say it's necessary information, and I am not letting any command withhold any more vital information.

Captain Alarie has been found on his ship. Unfortunately, he's long dead - I'd guess for weeks - and covered in slime. We've also confirmed via this morning's autopsy that Daud's body was filled with slime. Between this and the intel we've received from other Vallo, I think it's safe to assume the slime Saferra has been working with may be responsible for V.A.L.L.O.'s troubles this week.

Whatever measures we may take to deal with this problem, I'd advise finding a buddy. Don't let your close ones out of your sight.
