If you died and were made into a ghost after, without your previous consent, would you want to move on and stop being a ghost if that option were available?

I came to check in on the board game idiots and give Gamora a bottle of mead for getting through this nonsense. They asked if I'd give the update on what's happened so far.

• Chetney Pock O'Pea made an old wizard fall in love with him.
  
• Chetney, Rocket, Katou, and Adaine managed to bullshit their way through an encounter with the most unforgivably stupid gang I've ever heard of.
  
• Kellach did his best to get permanently lost in an enchanted forest. Luckily Nebula is smart enough to keep him out of caves. He doesn't even like caves.
  
• Kellach and Nebula brokered peace between some farmers and a mysterious forest spirit.
  
• Nebula went on to threaten a man's balls for getting handsy with barmaids. Good for her.
  
• Blue, Eleven, and Kamala did what I'm told is called a fetchquest. Blue is getting a garish jacket for her trouble.
  
• Iris and Peter did so much chitchat that they got a sword.
  
• Mike Wheeler is bad at naming things, people, and dogs. He will yell something about placeholders when he sees I said that.
  
• Mike Wheeler can also eat far more Chinese food than anyone as skinny as he is should be capable of. The boy's like an endless consuming void. I can only assume the Fox Way grocery bill is a small fortune.

So there you have it.

So if I wanted to convince the Great Library to let me paint a mural inside of it, who would I need to talk to? Or is that just like a don't even bother situation? I'm not rich enough to bribe anyone. I'm just curious.

So, what do you all think?

Kit and I were barely out of the forest when a violent head-ache struck us both simultaneously. Has anyone else been struck with this affliction? We are safely home now, the pain in the past and the mission complete, but it seemed wise to inquire.

So, uh.

Are we still looking for the portal guy? Because it just kinda dropped out of the sky from a portal and flew off. The portal isn't there anymore, but just checking that no one suddenly disappeared or anything, because that would be a problem.

EDIT: Witches and wizards and magical folk of Vallo, do you have magical ways to track glitchy, invisible beasts? And ones that can fly. Me and Kratos ??? want to know.

EDIT 2: Anyone who is familiar that sounds so wrong but that's the words that F with the beast, can you come describe it to Fresh Cut Grass?

Hello. Does anyone know anything about slime specimens? I was talking to Dr. Bellner tonight and he had one on the ship, but it went missing. He said it was under control but I don't believe him.

Kit seems to think that's a bad omen, a slime specimen going missing on a spaceship. I think we should keep an eye on the labs if we can.

Has anyone been able to establish communications back home? I'd like to check in with my brother when we can.

Testing, testing. Are you getting this? We're using my connection to the Black Lion and the quintessence tech in my arm to form a bridge between the networks. Basically, we're playing telephone through a giant sentient spaceship. Stop by and thank him for me? I'm sure he's stressed by all of this.

Anyway, assuming someone is reading this, on the other side of the portal is a parallel Vallo. We've made contact with a group of Outlanders here and confirmed that they are alternate versions of some of our lost people. Most of them have lived here for years and some have different memories of their home worlds. They've formed a rebellion against another group, made up of more of our lost people. They call themselves the Court of Revenants and they're the reason this message is filtered as best as I can get it.

Please be aware that Council members might look like someone you've lost, but they have apparently taken control of this Vallo through force and terror. There is a stalemate between the Council and the Rebels because any physical violence here creates what they call Echoes - spectral enemies that attack anyone close by and only stop when the fighting stops.

Now I'm sure you're wondering where our Outlanders are. I've been told the people here suffered a violent headache and a flash of memories that then faded when the portal opened on this side. It can't be a coincidence. I suspect our people are tangled up metaphysically with their counterparts. I have no idea how to separate them. If you have any theories, please don't be shy.

As for the rescue team, everyone is accounted for and safe. Our focus right now is planning a recovery mission. A few rebels were taken captive just before we arrived. Keith is We will get them back. In the meantime, please feel free to use this post to brainstorm and reconnect. Since I know it'll be a question on your minds, here is the list of the captured:

We have over 30 missing Outlanders so far and more names are still coming in. The portal they went through is still open, and now protected by a barrier so we don't lose track of anyone else for now, but it does seem to be a working portal, but we cannot guarantee that it is a two-way street, given our friends and family have not stepped back through yet we have to assume the way may be blocked on their side.

We still plan to launch a rescue mission, but the group going through also needs to be aware of the risks and be able and willing to set up communications in the event that a return trip won't be immediate.

The DOA is going to be confirming the list of those missing so we have exact names and numbers, and studying the portal to ensure it's safe to travel through.

The current plan is that tomorrow we'll send a group through, if you wish to sign up to be on the rescue mission, put your name here and be at the DOA offices in the morning for a full briefing. Pack ONE bag, no larger than what you can carry and run with, and bring your weapons of choice.

[FILTERED TO DOA MAGIC DEPARTMENT, BLACKTHORN HALL OCCUPANTS, & ANYONE THAT CHIMED IN HERE OR WAS INVOLVED IN THE PORTALS STUFF]

Kit and I went into the sewers that I saw in my portal, we've been in it before and it's just been sewers but now it has a secret base or room. It was not there before, just a week ago.

It's been abandoned. But there's a door that may be barred or locked, Kit wanted me to call in backup before I opened it. I couldn't hear anything on the other side with my runes.

If anyone would like to come investigate, meet me outside the DOA office in approximately 15 minutes. Bring light sources, thank you.

Does anyone have any toddler-friendly ideas for Christmas or Solstice celebrations? We've only been able to do things at home or with Julian and Emma in the past few years, because we've had to keep a low profile, but that isn't as much of a problem here and I'd like to take the opportunity for us to go a little overboard this year as a family.

Also any tips to get a "cool" teenager to wear a matching "decidedly uncool" family sweater.

Has anyone experienced having ah- two spouses, here, from two separate times?

To explain a little further; Will and Jem were connected and shadowhunter partners before I met them. I had a connection with both of them, and ultimately became engaged to Jem. Circumstances out of our control separated us, but with his blessing, I later married Will. This was a hundred and fifty years ago. We had a full and happy and wonderful marriage with him, until he passed.

I'm immortal, so I continued on as I am now, but grieving. It took decades, but Jem was healed and we were able to be together again, we married a few years ago and now we have Mina.

They are both here, and I am very lucky, make no mistake, to be lucky enough to have them. Will is from the early days of our marriage, and Jem is from our current time - they're both very happy to be with each other again, as we've always loved all of each other, bonded as family. But it is becoming a little awkward and I haven't figured out how to breach the "who am I married to" topic in terms of intimacy with them.

I know this place is strange so if anyone has any advice, I welcome it.

Jules, I think I found Blackthorn Hall? I haven't gone inside but it's on the very edge of the forest near the city, and it looks like when we explored it the first time? It's not as nice as when you and Emma made it so I wasn't sure and I didn't want to go inside without you.
