I have been here in Vallo for a little over two weeks and while I know that isn't a long time in comparison to many of you, I'm all too aware of how much a life can change in two weeks--the last two weeks of my life back home being evidence of that.

That being said, everyone has been really kind and welcoming to me and my friends so I just wanted to say thank you for that. This situation is still real weird, but it's easier with people being so nice.

BELLS HELLS

On top of the money that I won during fight club, I got a notification on this thing that I'd had some money put into my account out of nowhere. I made sure it was real, but apparently it's a thing that just happens sometimes? They said it was a Vallo magic quirk.

So, anyway, we've got 1100 more gold dollars to play with. Will that help with house things, Laudna?

Hey, Mr. Gilmore. I hope you're having a good start of the week so far. Dorian and I were wondering if we could make good on your offer for tea, if you have some time? We know you're a busy guy and that you don't know us yet back home, but it'd be nice to see you and catch up.

VEX & GILMORE

I had a dream last night about the Raven Queen. I guess it was a dream--I don't know, it felt incredibly real, but it wasn't the same as when we've remembered things, Vex. I was living it, but I remembered Vallo and everything that has happened while we've been here.

Anyway. We don't have to worry about her whisking me away from here any longer. She made it pretty clear that's off the table.

A student just called me Professor "Short King" after I agreed to give them an extension on an assignment.

Entirely unrelated, I will now resume floating at all times.

Actually unrelated, I have a new spell in my arsenal that I would like to put to more than a second phase of testing, so please let me know if murderous fowl, gremlins, metal dinosaurs, vicious oversized rabbits, or any of the other violent and uncontrollable hurdles that Vallo has thrown at us in the past--or something like it--shows up. It is for science.

I can't really wrap my head around the fact that graduation is just around the corner. When did that happen?

FRIENDS

I know that everyone has their own things going on that are keeping them busy, but would anyone be free to come with me to check out the house that arrived from my home a bit ago? I don't think that it is necessarily dangerous, but I don't want to go in by mys just in case.

I was thinking to go after school, but before work, tomorrow or later in the week, if anyone is free.

Someone I work with mentioned that today is some sort of celebration of pie and who am I to not participate this morning: ( cut for picture of breakfast pie~ )

Yes, I will be having pie for lunch and dinner and no, I'm not interested in criticism.

VEX

Since it's starting to warm up, what would you say to planning another camping trip with Velora?

The magic symposium was a delight, if I might say. I will always appreciate the sheer diversity of magic that I've had the luxury of witnessing since arriving in Vallo, both through the native magic of this world and that brought by other Outlanders. It is always fascinating and it was nice to have an event such as this to have yet another avenue to appreciate it.

And if you missed Professor Widogast's discussion on his specialties, well. You certainly missed out.

Compliments aside, between the symposium and the recent coven meeting, I am rather looking forward to gardening this season, plotting things out, choosing vegetables (now is the time to speak up on tastes and preferences, those who live with and around me), starting seeds to germinate--which is yet another sentence that strikes me as one that I never would have thought a couple of years ago, mundane though it might be. Here we are, hm.

I have decided to retire from quarreling with dragons.

The company since retirement and during recovery has been very good, though. ( Cut for image! )

This is, ah--sentimental and I will surely deny saying as much should anyone ask, but as harrowing as the time in that sphere was at times, it was more tolerable with the two of you, so: thank you, for both the amusement and the life saving measures.

My books are gone. If someone finds them, I would like them back.

Yesterday we were being attacked by some sort of golem that appeared to be attracted to magic. Serefin fought it while Gilmore and I tried to work a ballista that, it turns out, shoots acid, because I--all right, we-- managed to get it to cooperate and we took out the golem before it, well, killed Serefin.

It was very exhilarating, while also reminding me of our time in Aeor and thus making me wish you were here. Forgive that selfishness.

Does Halas Lutagran sound familiar to any of you? He was wizard from our world, right? I remember reading about him at some point in my studies back home, but not more than that.

I've spent much of my week wrapping my head around actually making Head Girl, but then this morning I woke up to a key and some paperwork. I made a detour before school and my house back home is here?

Even knowing that kind of thing has happened to plenty of people before me, it was kind of odd to see it just sitting there, like it always had been here and never actually was in Elmville.
