I have been here in Vallo for a little over two weeks and while I know that isn't a long time in comparison to many of you, I'm all too aware of how much a life can change in two weeks--the last two weeks of my life back home being evidence of that.

That being said, everyone has been really kind and welcoming to me and my friends so I just wanted to say thank you for that. This situation is still real weird, but it's easier with people being so nice.

It's not that I don't find these apartments quite lavish, but I also find them terribly overwhelming still and I think I need something more my speed, if possible. Is there anywhere here in Vallo that's perhaps a little more... rustic, I suppose? Where I could take up residency for the time being?

I have a coffin that I am setting ablaze next Saturday after tomorrow night at [address]. It is outdoors so dress accordingly because I don't care if you are freezing, you should have thought of that. There will also be liquor but please don't accidentally set yourself alight.

I chimed in on Laudna's heels, but it's been a couple days and I guess it's high time that I introduce myself, as well. I'm new here, obviously, so I don't know how things are done, but it feels polite.

So anyway, hello. I'm Orym of the Air Ashari, but you can just call me Orym. Much less of a mouthful.

Laudna and I have found housing and bagels and have done a bit more exploring beyond that, but if there is anything that people think newcomers that have never seen a um car? before should definitely check out, I'm taking suggestions. I also heard that there is a defense sort of group, is that right? I'm pretty handy with my sword and shield, so it feels like that would be a good way to pass the time as it seems like we're going to be here for a while.

Oh and if anyone sees a very tall faun named Fearne or a blue or an air gen, could you let me know? She's really great and one of my best friends, but also has sticky fingers and is a little chaotic so--I'd just like to know, is all.

MageNet's having open interviews for most departments the week of the 17th! If anyone's looking for tech job, come see us! We need more love for our Outreach, Green Initiative, and Engineering departments, but all departments have open interviews going on.

I'll be happy to look over anyone's resume and help polish it, if need be. 😊

Additionally, our second set of bird AIs will be hatching tomorrow, if anyone wants to come to the Aviary to watch them be born. It's scheduled to happen around noon, with a lunch spread on offer.

Next month, Enki's home towers - The Skyline - will be lifting off into the air to permanently reside in the skies. It was decided upon by the Elders and we've been prepping for this since February. It's not quite a rocket launch to space, but it's going to be pretty spectacular. I'll be getting details out to you in early June, for anyone interested in watching.

Enki's 200th Anniversary is coming up at the end of this August and we will be hosting a charity ball in its honor. It's still a bit away, but keep an eye out for information about it. Oh, hi! This is exciting. Is this how this even works? It was a little chaotic at the office and I had a bit of a rough start (um, hello, sorry there forest fellows! We can still be friends I hope?) but I've been set to rights now. Really, sorry for the dripping. Oh and the arm thing. But this is fun now that I know I haven't been transported to some crazy world and separated from my friends purely on the whim of some angry God!

Now, I hear there are bagels. What's everyone's favorite bagel? OH! I'm Laudna, how unbearably rude of me to not lead with that.

Who around here handles Weird Shit Going Down? We've picked up a magitechnical stream over here at MageNet that seems to indicate at least a few people have been snatched up to somewhere. Mei and I are getting it set up for monitoring now, so if any of you want to get on down here (Conference Room 1012), we could use some Powers That Be types.
