OOC Note: Sorry for deleting the version of this I posted yesterday, I was having a bad anxiety day and spun myself up worrying over jokes not landing well and panic-deleted. Apologies especially to the people who had already commented or were trying to comment, I hope you will forgive me my transgression and not hold this against me forever/never comment on another thing I write for the rest of our lives.

Who knows things about getting rid of curses? We don't know we have curse on Haus, but we are worried enough that we think maybe we should do everything we can find out about to break curses just in case. Even when things are normal, hockey people basically are like granny witches, doing little rituals so we feel like we are in charge of fate. Now things are not normal, magic is real, so we need more stuff to do against bad luck.

Here is what I have collected so far with google:

Decoy Poppet: Make little dolls of us to distract the bad luck. Poppet looks like doll; is there difference between poppet and doll? Should we also make decoy of Haus?
Mirrors: Put mirrors outside Haus to bounce back curses
Salt Bath: Take bath with salt and baking soda and lavender oil. I am thinking I will do this anyway, it sounds relaxing.
Crystal Wand: It says use selenite wand, wave it around body and area to cleanse.
Smoke Cleansing: Burn bundle of herbs, wave smoke around. Different ones say different herbs, do magic people here have ideas?
Floral Cleansing Bowl: Instead of lighting on fire, put herbs in bowl of hot water and carry them around.
Lemon?: Sweep your aura with a salted lemon, it says. I do not know how to sweep aura, please explain if you know.

okay so a friend of mine might have been cursed by an Order of the Golden Flame member for fucking with their, uh, golden flame, and what we did with her was put her in a bathtub with a metric fuckton of tourmaline surrounding her and THEN another layer of selenite, and then one of the seniors brewed her this potion thing that had umm... I think wormwort, mint, new moon water from I wanna say a moon in Pisces??? and almond butter because protein, but I'd skip the almond butter because she threw up after which wasn't cool. Also she apologized to the golden flames which may have helped matters.

don't you have like an evil black cat? don't listen to magic twitter about what to do about her. Black cats are awesome.

	Shayba is not evil! She is good kitty. One part of magic twitter said I should pay attention to random walls she hisses at because maybe she is hissing at "bad juju" and those especially need cleansing. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Couldn't hurt. just hit up the basics - stock up on selenite and tourmaline, do the mirror thing, apologize to anyone you've offended, smoke cleansing is a Topic back home on the res but I think as long as you use ethically-harvested shit and appreciate where it came from you're good there (don't use sage, don't call it smudging, oh and also burning rosemary is a traditionally European tradition so you're good there).

	Hm. It is possible, I have seen bigger curses on less-known people, even here in Vallo. Usually it is someone you have wronged, if that is the case, could even be something small. 	Our friends have been taken back home, one after another. Maybe this is just chance. Maybe we should not be so sad, because they are only going home, where they all have good lives.
