I probably ought to be questioning why so many of us ended up with a small windfall of cash from an unknown source, but that didn't stop me from buying this.

sword.jpg

A North German military rapier, circa 1630. It's beautifully detailed and worth every penny. A perfect way to start up my weapons collection here. Maybe the powers that be will be so kind as to give me the rest of my collection from home like they gave me my parakeet earlier in the month.

That rapier is absolutely beautiful. Excellent purchase!

Thanks. I have a French one back home, so it felt fitting to get a German one as well. Can't ever have too many swords.

Perhaps if I were to get my collection of weapons from Asgard some day, I could gift you one of my rapiers to add to your own.

Asgard as in... where the Norse gods live?

That would be very nice of you. Why would you want to do that?

Precisely.

Where else are you going to get an Asgardian blade for your collection?

Probably nowhere. That's where you're from?

Aye, I am of Asgard.

I do not know that the term applies to me, though Thor is one of my nearest and dearest.

Thor's here, right?

There are definitely people here that I never thought I'd meet - or ever thought were real.

How does Vallo compare to Asgard?

It has certainly taken some adjustment, as there are quite a few Midgardian aspects to Vallo, but I am glad to be here. If I were not, I am not sure where I would be.

Asgard as I knew it no longer exists.

Thank you. The shopkeeper hardly had to twist my arm to buy it. Did you end up getting any mysterious money?

I did, in fact. Though I'm afraid my purchases hardly rival yours.

As I am attempting to learn to cook and was very recently mocked for my lack of equipment, I went and purchased just about every item ever needed in a kitchen.

Hey, that's pretty impressive. I admire your willingness to take on that challenge. Not gonna lie, I don't even really want to learn how to cook.

I admit much of it is sheer stubbornness. And the desire to no longer survive on microwavable dinners and sandwiches.

Commendable. I survive mostly on coffee and licorice.

Hey licorice has come a long way in my time. My favorite is a strawberry licorice called Twizzlers.

It's still popular at prep schools. I joined so that I could stab at people with swords.

Do have an interest in weapons?

Ah that would explain it. Not really the prep school type. I do like the stabby aspect of that though so a+ there.

I like certain kinds, drums are more my thing really
