So we all agree, we're kicking this guy's ass once he's found, right? Like this isn't one of those 'no, Diego, diplomacy is so great you can't solve everything by stabbing it!!!!' things?

Guys I think the portal beast isn't really in control of all of the portals and what it's been doing? I ran into it tonight when Yrsa and I were out collecting mushrooms and it didn't run away? I actually got close to it this time and it's scared, confused, and lost.

Do you think there's a way to open the portals on our end? Can we meet up with the people who started all this in the first place and talk to them about it?

Hey everyone. After some conversations with the powers that be outside of the DOA and with the rest of Vallo, I wanted to touch base with our community at large just to compile information. I want us to all be on the same page, but know that there are others out there who have been sleuthing on their own time or just perhaps saw something and didn't make mention. Either way, I wanted to make sure we were all on the same page, but also to have an open forum to discuss any ideas going forward, any theories people might have, additional information that might be floating out there, and answer any questions that people might have. (Please know that I might not have any more answers to said questions than anyone else, but they're still really welcome.)

I've been in Vallo for 4 years now, which means I've also known Shiro for 4 years now, and I don't mean to be sappy but I genuinely don't know what I'd do without you guys.

Hello, this is Orym of the Air Asha Beketh Squadron, Communications. I know that there is a lot going on around the ship and everything is confusing and bad, but there might be a bit of good news for you new folks.

With our comms back up, we almost immediately received a signal that was first theorized and then confirmed to be coming from your side of things. It's gotten stronger as we've drifted closer to the proximity of the assumed portal. Long story short, I've been told that they should be able to see this and you lot should be able to communicate with one another now.

So uh if anyone not currently on the V.A.L.L.O. could confirm that, that would be super helpful. I'm sure your people will be relieved to hear from you.

Power is back on in the barracks.

The outage was a result of deliberate sabotage to the electrical system. The culprit is unknown for now, but the situation has been reported to the captain.

When you have time, go to your pod and do an inspection, and report back if anything went missing or was disturbed in the dark.

Hi, everyone. I’m sure you’re all aware of the very recent round of vanishing friends and family again. The DOA has received reports from Vallo PD of a rash of locals disappearing again as well. It looks like we’re dealing with another portal, likely the one I’m sure we’ve all seen hovering over the mountaintops.

I received word from Keith Kogane a few minutes ago that he’d taken the Black Lion up to take a closer look through the portal. He reported seeing nothing more than stars and darkness but received readings of a lack of oxygen as he ventured out farther.

It is the DOA’s belief that, much like last month, the missing are on the other end of this new portal. With that in mind, please reply if you meet the following criteria:

You would like to be a member of the rescue team.

You have a usable spacecraft and are open to transporting teammates through the portal.

We’re going to move on this as quickly and efficiently as we can. Those who reply should report at 4:30 PM with packed bags here: [mountain coordinates].

Eat some Oreos, take care of yourself, and tell people you love them. It doesn't solve anything, but I think it helps a little.

Full disclosure, I am not a full-time employee with the magic department at the DOA, but so many of us are gone and you are stuck with me, delivering good and bad news. Hello!

The good news is that thanks to the brilliant researchers in both our Vallos looking into where Bronislovas's resting place might be located on the other side of the portal, we're pretty damn sure of where it is, between his notes, so many books, and what info we got from Beketh. The thought is that it's within a cave system in one of the mountains by the city. Here's a map, for your reference:

Unfortunately that's more or less all we can do on our side for now, so it's up to all of you fine people over there to pick up the trail. If we can do things, we'll do it, just let us know.

And now the bad news: the portal is causing some oddities. The portal monsters from a few months ago are back, seemingly being created by or summoned by the portal itself. If you have fighting skills of some sort but aren't already involved with defense, please reach out to Evie and Kara and they'll get you sorted as needed.

The other odd thing is that the area around the portal seems to be, for lack of a better way of putting it, turning into what we can only assume the other side of the portal looks like. Buildings are suddenly in disrepair and there's a lot of graffiti talking about your Revenants and how disliked they are, missing people posters, that kind of stuff. This started yesterday and the area affected has only grown today, so it would appear we're on even more of a timetable than we thought.

All right, that is all I have for the moment, so...go team?

I know some people on the other side were worried about some of ours that were captured. We've gotten everyone back to base, a few injuries but nothing too serious. The extra numbers came in handy and we're grateful for the the help.

I'll admit I was focused on other things with the rescue on deck, and I'm sure a few others were too, but those who had a chance to talk in depth with Bronislovas, anything we should be moving forward with on our end to get everyone where they belong? We've got a few people who could use a couple days before doing something else that might cause a run in with the Revenants, but we're good to start working on a plan if there is one.

The old cypress has never refused the axe. There is simply no one who could carry it away if it were felled.

We must analyze this loss and determine how we will prevent it from happening again. How can we increase security? How can we increase our knowledge of rebel activities? How can we crush them completely and prevent them from even attempting such an attack?
