This loud little bloke strolled right into Puddifoot's with me yesterday morning, then followed me straight home after I'd gone through the books. He's officially been here twenty-four hours, has made himself comfortable at the window, and refuses to be shooed away. I suppose that means I have no choice but to accept I have a cat now.



My ears will never be the same. I haven't figured a name yet, but whatever it is should be a comment on his volume, I think.

Needless to say, I'm buying a million packages!

Hi friends. :))))))) On the 14th we're hosting our Mother's Day event! We're hosting breakfast that's free for moms and moms to be (mom-figures too!!!) (I have the BIGGEST dreams of a waffle bar you guys don't evem KNOW) and then there's a small cost if you want breakfast too! OR you can buy things at the market and have breakfast included! I've seen a few of the cards Ronan's made and I say it all the time but even STILL, these are GREAT cards. Three are some great fiber art things too! And the flowers are already top notch, it's going to be SO good, you guys, honestly, A+++++.

When the market first opened, Ro and I talked about how our mom would have loved it, how she would have welcomed everyone, really loved getting to know people and showing off our home. She was so kind, so loving, and just so proud of literally everything we did. I miss her everyday. So if you're missing your mom or mother-figure too, or if your relationship with that person/people is a little complicated, that's okay! I understand. Please come and hang out if you want! And I'll have an extra hug for you. (maybe some s'moreos too, we'll see how generous I'm feeling lolololololololol)

I am not from a world with things like high school and pep rallies (this is something I just learned about, in fact, and am certain I would have absolutely hated every second of it as a teen), so I didn't know what prom was until it was explained to me and hey, guess what. We're having a prom for so-called grown ups.

So: as long as we aren't displaced in time or space or fighting monsters, anyone 18+ is invited to adult prom on June 10, the theme being Under the Sea, which I was told is one of a handful of popular themes for these kinds of events. All proceeds from ticket costs will be going to the youth center, as well as any added donations and such at the event itself. The usual suspects will be there: good food, open bar, music, and other surprises.

There will be a contest for best Proprom ProposalPr Promsal Promposal to go along with this. This is another thing I had never heard of, but here we are, learning things together. If you make a bit of a fun fuss asking your date to prom with you, record it, send it to vvessar@vcyc.org, and there will be votes during the event on the best promposal. The couple/pair/duo that wins will get bragging rights and a weekend package for two at Galdin Quay.
