We didn't really have Father's Day on Krypton, but I did have a really great adopted Dad on Earth, Jeremiah Danvers...and I miss him. So today I'll be thinking of him as well as my father from my home planet.

Fathers are a touchy subject at the Barns. So why the fuck did we do a Father's Day event, you're wondering. Because even tho it turned out my dad had more secrets than a dirty politician and maybe was kind of a shitty dad altogeth, I still miss him. I just keep thinking that I don't wanna be him. I fucking hate keeping secrets.

I really hate keeping this secret. At home, there wasn't a choice. It was keep the secret or die. Or maybe just end up somebody's pet or a lab rat. But knowing me? Probably just dead. Probably everyone I've ever given two shits about dead first.

My uncle and I ended up in a new city once. We'd been traveling a lot before then, but this time was different because we needed a place to lay low. It felt really strange. I told him I didn't want to be there, and I really didn't want to make a life in an unfamiliar place. I always gave him such a hard t He said: "Life happens wherever you are, whether you make it or not." I guess that's the case here, isn't it? Even though it can be dangerous sometimes, at least from what I've seen in the past few days, it's also full of a lot of people who come together for each other. People who care, because I guess we're all making a new home here for the time being. It's [...] nice to see.

But I'm not as good as my uncle at sharing wisdom. It was hard to even write any of th All I can offer is free tea and cookies. I'll be making deliveries today for anyone who wants to put in an order. The owner of the café knows what's been going on, and she knows a lot of you have been helping. It's her way of giving back. The tea's pretty good, too. Uncle would've recommended the jasmine.
