I'm looking to get regular training sessions going again for those who are interested. From experienced fighters to beginners, I'm going to get them going Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 7am before patrols shift start at 9am. We'll use the same clearing that Steve had originally been using. Anyone who's interested, let me know.

Two things: One, the waypoint to the Starbucks by the post office is taking me the forest instead. Which was disappointing because I really wanted an overpriced latte.

Two, my farm is here. Found it in the forest when I was trying to get back to the city. That shit just happen around here?

So there's been an explosion of new people lately, so I figured reaching out through the network might be the best way to sort something out. My name is Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti and, by a raise of hands or maybe just by posting a fun meme to this post, who has medical training/healing abilities and/or is willing to learn some things? And who is willing to help if I were to set up a medical response team in case of emergencies?

In my last world, we had something like that and it benefited us to have medical on standby when magical healing wasn't an option or because there were so many injuries, the magical healers couldn't get to everyone. I'm hoping to have something like that here, because it's always better to be overprepared than underprepared.

Everyone should be getting a text shortly with the schedule. We've managed to put together four teams to rotate between the patrol and on call shifts. For on call shifts please meet at the DOA offices in the Vallo City Government Building and we will use the waypoint there. I tried to divide the teams up as best I could with what I know of everyone - if anyone has any issues or suggestions just let me know.

Patrol shifts go from 9 AM until 6 PM. On call will be 6 PM to 9 AM the next morning. On call shifts are free to wander around looking for trouble, but mostly it will be heading out with the welcome committee if they get a ping for a new arrival and generally being available should something head south overnight. AKA keep your phones nearby.

Very much not a fan of continuously being pulled away from my life. I had things to do, D&D to play, a boyfriend to woo, and a comic con to go to. Anyone know where the exit portal is?

It appears that the creatures we've seen over the past few days are showing no sign of going away anytime soon. I'm also inclined to believe that with what I've experienced in places like this something that happens once, is liable to happen again. With that said I don't think that behemoth coming through the Waypoints was a one off and this might only be the start of similar situations coming down the line.

I've been working with the DOA to sort out what we can do in response to all of this and what a defense team to handle these potential threats might look like. At the moment we've laid plans to start with rotating teams with one on active patrol during the day (with a focus primarily in the forest areas as that seems to be the hub of this activity) and one being on call through the evening and overnight. If you sign up, you will be paid for your time.

Which leads me to that. Signing up. Let me know if you're interested, either in being on a team full time or being listed as a reserve member that we can use should a team need an extra person on deck for whatever reason or something big comes through the Waypoints and we need more help. A quick rundown of your skill set would be handy as well.

As well if anyone has any suggestions on any of this, I'm all ears.

So first things first I wanted to give a thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to help fight.

Secondly, as those involved are already aware, we were unsuccessful in our attempts to deal with the Behemoth and the creature retreated into the forest. Given what those from the same world as the creature have told me, leaving it to its own devices out there is not an option.

I'd like to set out again tomorrow morning, early. Give us the day to hopefully track this thing down and take care of it. Ideally we'd need a few groups of people able and willing to help out with that. We've got three people on deck who have dealt with this kind of creature before so up to three groups would be good. If anyone has experience tracking wildlife, let me know. Other than that sound off if you're willing to head back out and we can go from there.

I didn't want to have to do this Dammit So I could use a little help. Anyone with experience taking down monsters—or who can lend a hand evacuating people from the village near the forest—now's your time. A creature from my world came through one of the Waypoints. He's big, and he's pretty pissed off. I'm trying to keep him contained with magic, but I won't be able to hold this barrier for much longer. And it's reacting strangely with the crystals Gods, as if they didn't freak me out before

As for everyone else, you should be fine if you stay within the city limits. I'll publish a more official report on all this later so you know when it's safe to head out again.

Things I have learned after a few days of running a small business.

Having a good quality coffee/espresso machine in the back is a must, even if I can only have small amounts.

Found a decent coffee shop, but have yet to find a place that knows their pancakes. Any recommendations? And while I'm at it, anyone have any job listings? Not looking for anything specific, just some work until I figure out how to make myself useful here.

Second, where's the best place to get a decent cup around here? Regular stuff, preferably high caffeine content. Will take espresso shots. No tea.
