She's got her hands f Some of you are likely already aware, so to head off questions and chaos, the DOA can confirm there seems to be some kind of timeslip event happening. Don't freak out if you suddenly have a kid or someone you know isn't the right age. The latter might be easier to adjust to since it's happened at least once before in the time I've been here - but the kid thing may be a bit shocking.

If you need a hand, the DOA has services to help out. That said, though, in an effort to coordinate and assist, we're asking you to chime in here with any reports you want to share so that we can manage resources and get a handle on expectations.

I just spent ten hours drafting plans for a costume and then it occurred to me that it might be a little offensive to some people. UGH

Though, now that I think about it, I could put a question out to the people of Vallo. Because I love you all and would never want to offend, even accidentally. Unless you're an asshole and need to be offended, then I'm all over it. BUT, that's besides the point. Do we have still have any vampires?

First, I was cheering you all on as you took care of the metal creature invasion from the bed I have been told I shouldn't leave. (Tomorrow, though. Tomorrow I might be obstinate.) (Just kidding, Shaun, I would never.)

Second, as I sit here in this bed, having finished this book ("Guard of My Heart": pretty good, but no "Feathered Leather", get both at Chastity's Nook), it feels that there is no better time than to tell everyone that we will be holding a Halloween party. I know both my sister and I have mentioned it here and there, but I figured it wise to make it official.

So, officially: evening of October 30th at Greyskull Keep. There will be food, drink, music, and so on. Costumes are not required, but very much encouraged. (I understand there has been weirdness with costumes in the past, so I get it, but also what is life without a little risk?) Many plans have been made to make the keep spooky and you should all come to appreciate the work of those handier and more magical than me. It will be a good time.

Hey. I know we don't have Cuersaar here, but 13th day of the 10th month translates easy enough for Night of Ascension. I didn't do anything last year except mope, be in denial, and drink wine with Shaun, but this year feels different so I thought I'd see if you had any traditions or customs I might not be familiar with that you wanted to do. Otherwise, I was considering just holding vigil for her for some of the day. The date shares importance with Shaun, so I'm planning on plans with him, too.

Anyway, Vex and I had a run in with the metal beasts the other day, but I've had some healing and will hopefully be able to at least get around by then.

It's a family tradition at this house to carve pumpkins leading up to Halloween and then put it forward to everyone online to vote for the best one. Pumpkin desserts then follow.

It's not required, but it would definitely be pretty cool if anyone else wanted to get in on the carving and then post their photos. Maybe by the 30th?

Ja, hello. We have a uh- a generous benefactor that has donated money to the shop. A lot of money.

I had an idea and I wished to talk to all of you about it in case it is terrible and you are all free to tell me it is. But perhaps purchasing the shop space next to us and expanding the storefront to cater to children's books? It would have to be separate of course, so that children are not constantly asking what that dick on the wall is, but I think it is possible to make it into two different shops? Perhaps?

I just know I would like to do something that enables young readers and I know as we have it right now, that is not very possible.

Early this morning while I was enjoying a morning stroll through our sinister wood, I came across a giant, fuck-off castle. Now, I know that giant, fuck-off castles are indeed the norm around here, but I can't pretend to have seen this one before. It's... hmmm. How to put it gently? If you were to purchase this castle at a charity shop, its condition would be "Used: Good".

I didn't feel any particular malevolent energies coming from it, and none of the animals appear spooked, so I don't believe we're in for anything tiresome.

Anyone have any idea? I'll be happy to take you to it, provided that I make it back in time for my shift at 9:00am and you don't mind my practising my lines on you. (Simon makes an excellent backup to Tina's Morticia, if anyone who is wondering.)

Lardo and I have finished watching The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon, the greatest television show of all time (there are no better ones; I will not accept alternates at this time from wrong people). Should I:

A) Restart it from the beginning.
B) Watch something new.

I doubt that I am the first with the ability to see the future to say this, and also doubt that I will be the last, but it is frustrating to have that sort of skillset and to not be able to foresee something like all of this with enough clarity to provide any sort of concrete warning. Likewise, being able to divine a solution would also be helpful, if it actually worked that way -- frustrating, all around.

I wish there was more that I could do to help, is all. And I'm sorry to those of you that are separated from friends and family. That can't be easy, in the least.

But I have noticed how all of this has really swung the gossip focus at school. I don't know all of the details of last week's events, but it is quite something to be in a school that seems to discourage student participation in an unsanctioned fight club, magical or otherwise. In all honesty, I would be shocked if back home doing such wasn't expected curriculum for some focuses. Then again, I'm fully aware that much of what happened at our school couldn't be filed under peak responsibility.
