1. You take excellent care of me not because you have to but because you really want to.
2. I try to take care of you too, even though I am a kid, but kids can do a lot and I worry about you when things are dangerous even though you are objectively the best wizards in Vallo.
3. You love me very much.

5. We are a family.

My conclusion is that I would very much like for you two to adopt me and be my dads emotionally AND legally.

I can't say that I'm upset to have been spared the recent winter holiday romance thing, partially because I'm concerned about what my alternative self would be (I'm assuming a harried college student that is home for the holidays visiting family and somehow ends up falling back in love with her school sweetheart, which oh boy) but mostly because I have made sure that all of the kittens got the most attention from me while everyone else in the house was gone so I would be top of the affection hierarchy.

Hey folks! I know the weather has thrown us all for a loop but we at Mushroom Hill want to make your stay as festive and easy as possible! I'm Matthew, I'm a part of organizing the activities here, you'll see Talcott helping me, and together we are going to have SO much Christmas cheer.

You'll find printed schedules with events going on for as long as you're here--I'm personally really looking forward to the gingerbread house demo and have just barely resisted eating the materials so there will be things to build with! Later, we'll have a full on competition, which is going to be SO good, both artists and chefs really get into it! We also have ice skating lessons at the pond, there are firepits that we'll have s'mores and hot chocolate, in the lobby we'll be decorating the tree and singing carols, there are ornament and garland creating stations that will popup, and there's sledding, snowboarding, and skiing for all levels! And! We're super lucky to have yoga practice going on twice in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We'll also have opportunities to give back to the community by making Christmas cards and putting together baskets of goodies, because it's important for everyone to feel seen and cared for at all times. :)

There's so much going on, and it'll happen for as long as the snow sticks around, so don't feel like you're going to miss anything! Of course, you can just explore and discover everything on your own, but if you need an excuse to get to know people, come hang out! :))))))))))))

Calling all magical folks or those knowledgeable about:

Our team's patrol today spotted something that looks like a teleportation circle in the forest at [location]. Can't say how long it's been there but there are runes near the thing as well as objects that seem to be badly burned. Most of them were not distinguishable from ashes at all but the ones that were are: an apron, a grumpy frog t-shirt, and a mug with cacti on it that says "You Can't Touch This".

I can't get much information out of this but if anyone else wants to step in and take a look, that would help.

I have overused the indoor plumbing options in this flat, learned how to use the elevator by myself, and located where to make the letters capitals on this little phone thing. A feat, truly.

Tessa has shown me what a Kindle is but I have to admit I appreciate the physical heft of books. She has also given me her list of bodice rippers and I do trust her taste in reading material. Does anyone else have any recommendations? Bodices being ripped is not a necessary requirement, but I will judge you accordingly on a scale that is predetermined by me, and unbeknownst to you.

Well, I woke up in Aeor, except it is not really Aeor. I was alongside my uh friend well colleague? incredibly attractive it was complicated and it became both less and more but now very good friend, except now he is my husband (I am at least fairly certain; feel free to correct my possible assumptions while I blush furiously in a corner if I am wrong). I was expecting some weird and mysterious magical shenanigans that I would need explained to me when we decided to go and explore pre-Calamity cities without backup, but this is rather next level.

Usually I avoid the vulgarity of ranting online, but today is a special case.

In Special Collections, we have rules for handling books. Each book has its own particular rules, which I very clearly communicate to patrons when they request their reading material. These rules are not arbitrary. Each one exists either to protect the books or to protect the patrons. When they are followed, they work.

This morning I had a patron who thought rules about books did not apply to him. He's a wizard, you see, and he knows what he's doing, and he doesn't like authority, so he doesn't need to listen to the librarian telling him what will happen if he mishandles the book he's requested. Hardly a spell can touch him, he says, just give him the book and get on with it.

Now a priceless antique copy of Secret Worlds is covered in blood and will require a specialist to clean and restore. We can only hope that they'll be successful in doing so; this sort of damage is very difficult to repair. And I suppose we must also hope that medical personnel are successful in reattaching the wizard's fingers.

When all you wanna do is take a walk to run some ERRANDS and Hi, warning: we have a lot of violent activity centered around the Crossed Quills and the village around it. We got monsters, we got portals (??? why), and everything is breaking. I think And I don't know if it's because I got thrown into a damn tree too hard, but I think these things aren't swiping at any of the locals?

I went to Soups Soups Soups Soups for breakfast soup this morning, only to find that they are closed due to vandalism and damage done to the interior and exterior overnight. It looked fairly extensive, with windows broken and the dining and kitchen areas in full disarray.

This is vexing for a number of reasons and I would like to know who would do such a thing, immediately.

Greetings all, I am sharing on behalf of myself and Wanda (though I would never venture to speak for her, obviously) as your magical representatives for the DOA. The Directrix of Geliara Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry has requested assistance in first, containing, and secondly, closing, a portal that opened on the grounds of the school. Apparently a conjuration class had a spell go...incorrectly and now there is a portal that they are unable to do anything with.

The second piece to that is that somethings may have escaped. The details on what, exactly, they are, are a bit sketchy, so this may take some time and energy. You can come to the DOA office and read for yourself what the Directrix sent over and if you are so inclined, we can then proceed to the school for closer examination of the portal.

Certainly no one is required to participate but if you do we will most likely have their eternal gratitude and a favor to be called upon later, ho hum, it is very good for relations, and I will purchase the Dashing Doors for lunch. And probably have wine if this goes very late.

It seems that I had grown very used to the extra presence and energy that Catrin brought into the house, because now it just feels very big and empty this morning. I miss her already.



I also think that I might need to start advertising for a roommate or two. This house just isn't meant for one person.

I'd say come to my house for trick-or-treat - I give away pints of ice cream and, yes, their containers are enchanted to keep them cold while you carry on - but penthouse life doesn't exactly attract trick-or-treaters.
