Hello, Vallo! Castle Whitespire's great halls are totally available now for big party rentals and such. I may have also renovated a few rooms for sleeping off anything too. Never realized how much needed to be cleaned up and all but damn, did some places bring back memories. Not all of them that good though

The rentals also will come with some great catering deals because Sophie is the absolute best. I might even offer to do a hefty discount for anyone who wants to book for the winter holidays too!

The Monster Parade at the Art of Expression will be taking place today from 5PM to 7PMish. Kids will get to enter a costume contest and walk a runway. Photos taken by yours truly! :) Everyone goes home a winner with a custom made superlative, but be sure to hit up the food booths for ghoulish brews and sandwitches before you head home.

Friends and family: Pajama party/movie marathon at our house around 8PM! Adult character onesies highly recommended. Abi and I have spares if you need 'em! We'll be screening the Stab slasher series (apparently it's similar to something called Scream in some of the worlds? Sophie and I found this out months ago!) too, so just avoid the the living room if you plan to bring any little ones with you.

The Galdin Quay restaurant will be opening a little late today, I'm afraid. I've decided to temporarily change the menu in order to annoy my younger self, so should you find your way out there this week to sample the food, I ask that you do not inform him that I am a superior chef.

I thought long and hard about what I want to do living inside a huge castle that is mostly empty space and echoes because Margo isn't all the inhabitants from Fillory are not here and it's literally just me and my adorably fat cat.

So I decided the main ballroom will be an area used to rent out to like, big parties and such. Hell, maybe a coronation. There used to be cursed thrones on the dais but they were long since removed and the whole castle is relatively curse free.

As far as I'm concerned, Spooky Season began last month, but Bossman made us wait until October to let start hosting fun events at the Art of Expression. SO, along with my lovely co-host Abi, I will be hosting "Too Cute to Spook." Each Tuesday from 5 PM to 7 PM will feature a different event for kids and their adults, free of charge for admission, but donations to charity encouraged and accepted!

10/4 - Face Painting & Creepy Baking - Featuring the talents of our various art instructors and the very handsome Ignis Scientia.
10/11 - Haunted Mini-Carnival - We'll have a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, and bumper cars! EDIT: And I've gotten our AMAZING bossman, Lan Xichen, to agree to sit for the dunk tank. Come give it your best shot!
10/18 - Find Your Inner Boo - This is a chance to create your costumes from scratch with Abi Blyg directing you lost souls.

ATTENTION SINGLE PEOPLE.

How many of you are out there, and are you looking to potentially be not single, or at least have a few drinks and meet new people?

I am looking into the possibility of hosting the next speed dating event, and want to figure out if there's any interest in it.

For those of you who are concerned that a Norse goddess who grew up in a dome in the Apocalypse who ended up with one of the other people stuck in there (shock) and has never had to really date in her life, has no business hosting a dating event, no worries. I'm supplying the space and alcohol, and bringing in someone who knows what they're doing to consult on the actual event logistics.

Please advise.

If you were unaware, next week starts the several-day Taste of Vallo Food Festival. Galdin Quay as a spa and resort will be open but the larger kitchen will be closed during that time. Instead, you'll find us installed in Vallo City proper with a more accessible menu that's good for on the go.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of your lovely faces light up after I shove food your way. And I'm told to remind everyone to "tag their pictures with #spectaculareats" (thank you, your Majesty). If anyone has something more clever in terms of a hashtag for Galdin Quay, I am open to suggestions.
