Oh, hi! This is exciting. Is this how this even works? It was a little chaotic at the office and I had a bit of a rough start (um, hello, sorry there forest fellows! We can still be friends I hope?) but I've been set to rights now. Really, sorry for the dripping. Oh and the arm thing. But this is fun now that I know I haven't been transported to some crazy world and separated from my friends purely on the whim of some angry God!

Now, I hear there are bagels. What's everyone's favorite bagel? OH! I'm Laudna, how unbearably rude of me to not lead with that.

It's still strange, even after having been here for so long, waking up on the first day of Spring and not having to do anything to actually make the first day of Spring happen. My mother would disown me if she knew how lazy I'd gotten since arriving in Vallo. That being said, this is still my absolute favorite time of year and I want to share it with anyone who would like for me to, so if you'd like to see any particular flora around Vallo, or want some new plants for your gardens, or even just an assortment of flowers for a nice Spring bouquet that will last you through the season, let me know! I'd love to give as much Spring back to Vallo as I can.

But first I'm going to enjoy another piece of birthday cake.

I'm trying not to be too hopeful here, but I feel like I haven't seen quite as many of the creepy monsters today as I've seen in the past few days. Fingers crossed that maybe we're making headway?

Related, but if you spot a few more eerie looking trees around the city that weren't there before, don't worry! I'm better at making plants than decapitating monsters. I figured there's always room for more trees, anyway!

I know the timing is weird with everyone's focus being on the latest Vallo threat, but I wanted to talk to you about something if/when you have a moment!

I think that I would very much like to drink tonight.

It has been a very long time since I've had the chance to do this or actually wanted to, but I have emerged from my Final Final of the Semester stupor and could use some celebration for getting through the past months and having a handful of weeks free of study, classes, and writing papers so should anyone be of a mood? Join me. I'll be going to Fight Club to spectate and would like to continue after all is said and done and foresee generosity on my part and many buying of rounds.

I'm Xialing, and I arrived a couple of days ago. My brother introduced himself already.

This is quite the city you have tucked away. The use of Waypoints to travel is incredibly convenient. I know a number of people who give anything to see The Great Library.

Where are you from originally if you are not a local, and is your world anything like this one?

So, ah, I think Vallo gifted me something, but I don't 100% know what it is. The deed to Slayer's Cake was waiting for me on my nightstand and it's obviously a bakery of sorts. By which I mean there are plenty of counters and ovens and supplies for more than a dozen people to bake all at once, but not much space for selling baked goods. Honestly, what good is a bakery you can't make money from? Anyway, I know a Slayer's Cake exists in Critical Role Land, but this is different. Knowing there's one at Critical Role Land, however, leads me to believe this is something from home. When I went to check out the building, it's shown up near Chastity's Nook on the other side of the Enchanted Nook.

What's up, friends and fam? I think this is about the third time this has happened to me in my lifetime (maybe??) and I am pretty sure that the timing of it gets less and less convenient each time.

A few questions:

1. Does Chastity's Nook already exist here? I can never tell if I landed in a familiar timeline or not.
2. Is there anything exciting happening on a Sunday night to make up for my now failed future plans?
2a. If not, why not and how can we change that?
3. Who else is here that I know?

Throwing a massive past party and I don't get an invite until days later? There's no accounting for taste.

While the arm wrestling competition and ensuing drinks were an excellent addition to my weekend, I have to say it wasn't the highlight. In all fairness, today is the ridiculously smart, beautiful, and fierce Cassandra de Rolo's birthday, so no one could really blame me for have a bit of bias.

Listen, I contemplated posting a video here of me singing happy birthday. I like my fellow Outlanders, though, so I decided to spare you all (and Cassandra the inevitable embarrassment) but just saying this, instead:

Please make sure to wish Cass a happy birthday when you see her. She deserves all of the best wishes because she is, in fact, the very best. Happy birthday, my love. I can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you.

I'm terribly sorry, but how is this month very nearly over already? I know it has much to do with it being the first month of the new semester, there being plenty of strangeness to distract from the day to day as per Vallo being itself, and time just being what it is, but -- how.

At least everything is autumn flavored right now. I know that I am not the first, nor will I likely be the last, to express appreciation for such things, but credit where it is due. Whitestone was missing out.
