Lila and I were thinking about going away for the weekend of our birthday, and we don't trust anyone but you guys to watch Gracie. It's a lot to ask, but she's also the best fucking baby ever and she's comfortable with you all.

You idiots can say no, it's fine, we'll just take her with us.

One of the kids at the center alerted me that this is bisexual month. (Color and italics required, I don't make the rules.) They explained there's an awareness week and a visibility day coming up, so they figure that means we should get the whole month and frankly, I agree.

Let's go, fellow bisexuals. September is our month. Maybe October too, on account that I really like Halloween.

To whoever sent the edible arrangement, please know that was incredibly thoughtful of you. Really, just so selfless and kind. FILTERED TO CHAOS CREW.

I had a change of heart recently and thought burning my brother's journals, literally, which have been burning a hole in my mind, figuratively, would help with the intense desire I have felt to read them as of late. But it is raining and burning a book inside the train seems ill-advised given children. I'm taking the rain as a sign that I should wait on the burning.

And I have moved them to a child-proof location in Evie's quarters in case Graciela decides to start teething on one.

So I just get to keep this phone? And everyone can just see what I post here all the time?

And I don't mean some kind of big fucking secret about how much of a piece of shit you were back in your home or something like that, because I don't really give a crap about anything like that. I want to hear about some kind of surprising talent that people wouldn't peg you for or something cool you did as a kid or about your pet guinea pig or I don't know, fucking good stuff like that.

This is your last minute-ish reminder that the Arcane Trickster summer camp is coming back this year--three Sundays, starting on the 9th--and if you and/or your child have yet to sign up, there's still time. For ages 6-16, Caleb and I (and friendly volunteers) will be teaching the basics of wizard-ing and rogue-ing, all while being safe and responsible about it. Participants just need to bring themselves, though dress in good, old outdoor fun attire, as lunch, snacks, water, and other necessities are provided.

It's been a lot of fun the last couple of years we've done it, so this year will hopefully be more of the same. If you want to join up but haven't signed up already, let us know and one of us will get paperwork to you.

I almost forgot Pride was this weekend!! Being a mom is... all-consuming, and tiring, and stressful, and definitely one of the best things that's ever happened to me (after meeting my wife and marrying her, obviously).

But anyway, I don't think we can do Pride the same way this year, but is two weeks old too young to do the family stuff on Sunday? I need a consensus here, please.

A note to my friends and anyone who happens to see me decked out in bi colors and varying stages of dress:

I, Vax'ildan Occasionally Vessar But Definitely Eventually Gilmore, will not drunkenly post all over the network this year. I enjoy Pride. I enjoy it, perhaps, a wee bit too much. I've gotten sloppy three in a row and this streak needs to be broken before it becomes habit.

So, if you see me typing away in anything other than a texting app so I can find my fiance that I will inevitably wander away from and get lost, you have permission to slap the phone out of my hand.

- a marker that says COPIC on it *
- an eyepatch *
- just a fuck ton of daggers that I'm pretty sure are your make, Fen *
- a little friendship looking bracelet *
- a book that I think might be in Zemnian, Caleb *
- several sets of keys that can probably be identified by keychain *
- two different chapsticks, both vanilla latte flavored
- a black bucket hat that says "Raccoon Whisperer" on it
- a nearly empty pot of what I assume is body glitter (this is becoming tradition and makes me think younger me should have had more access back home)
- one black fingerless glove
- jar of crunchy peanut butter that might just be from our kitchen, now that I think about it
- a sewing kit with all the black thread missing, apologies
- a rainbow scrunchie
- two empty flasks this year, oh ho
- a belt that isn't one of my many belts

There also are a number of items here that I recognize from a certain shop. I will return them to you, my glorious fiance, when I bring you lunch.

Anyway, I do apologize--my fingers were incredibly sticky as a teenager due to a slew of father-based issues that we don't have to get into right now. These new teenagers we have are terrible at crime. I had another attempted pickpocketing in New Asgard this morning, and it was the sloppiest damned lift I've seen in years. What are the thiefmakers teaching them these days? Go home, practice on the dummy with the bells until you can do it without a jingle and try again.
