I realize I'm new here, or at least relatively so, but have I been sent somewhere else already? Everyone else nearby seems just as amazed or as confused as I, though none of us seem to have any answers. Aside from the elf at the bar who just shrugged it off as "Vallo."

To be more brief, the surrounding area in the village seems to have turned into a desert. The very hot and dry kind, which is not what I was expecting when I woke this morning.

So, the DOA and network scrolling caught me up. I know there is SO MUCH going on right now — hi everyone, I hope you're staying safe and have food and aren't being tracked down by evil people — but waking up in a pile of leaves in the forest and finding out you disappeared for two weeks is still jarring as hell.

Yelena, Nat's gone and you're not here and I'm trying to st your bird is being so needy. Where's Licorice? No way he just disappeared, he's a Vallo cat. And is there a MAN staying at the house? There's a lot of man stuff here but no man. Don't tell me you suddenly moved a man in here. You can't have been that lonely.

The last restaurant I went to was highly anti-baby friendly and my formerly favourite wine bar is now full of influencers. Need new recommendations for being social out in public with AND without small children/babies.

Also would love it if the bar chairs don't try to eat me.

So that was an interesting trial run, but you're off the case and onto real ones starting after the holidays. I have one highly contested divorce that is inter-coven and involves a blood pact and a will that the deceased's ghost husband is protesting. I'll give you the files that you need to go over so that you know what you're walking into, in the new year. But if you have a few days next week where you're free, we're going to have a few magic lessons to help you avoid detection through extra sensory means.

Calling all magical folks or those knowledgeable about:

Our team's patrol today spotted something that looks like a teleportation circle in the forest at [location]. Can't say how long it's been there but there are runes near the thing as well as objects that seem to be badly burned. Most of them were not distinguishable from ashes at all but the ones that were are: an apron, a grumpy frog t-shirt, and a mug with cacti on it that says "You Can't Touch This".

I can't get much information out of this but if anyone else wants to step in and take a look, that would help.

Apparently I worked at the Underground as a trainer and didn't know about that until I was walking by the place and it triggered a memory. So I went in, got to talking to management, and I'm starting up sessions again at the Underground a couple of days a week. Group sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, individual sessions on an as need basis. If you're looking to sharpen up whatever skills you do have or are looking to learn self defense, come find me or message me.

I'll be focused on knife fighting, boxing, Taekwondo, and Krav Maga. Open to other martial arts and hand to hand.

And if you have a problem with a baby watching me kick your ass into shape, do not take this class. This is part of her training.

Hello, I'm back, but not here to rip out any hearts unless you ask nicely.

I'm working on getting things sorted, but Henry's a baby now because Vallo made a choice. I'm not complaining, but this means diapers, sleepless nights, and me not being able to work fulltime at my old law firm until I can figure that out. I need a babysitter and my go tos are gone (what the fuck, Vallo) or don't remember me (what the fuck, Nyx).

I'll accept applications here.

Once that's sorted, I'll be needing some help when I'm working fulltime again. I need an investigator on my payroll to help me work my cases. No real requirements other than light feet and a can do attitude. No perkiness..

I was sorry to hear of the loss of Adam. I did not know him well, but he seemed kind and affable, and I'm sure that losing him was not easy.

I know how difficult it can be to accept new leadership, especially when it comes from an outside source. I regret that I do not know any of you as well as I might like to.

I should like to change that, by having you all for dinner tomorrow night at 18:00, so that I might become better acquainted with all of you before our first patrol shift.

Right, so. Considering how the past week has been a bit blurry in my head and that there are newer people in the vicinity, I can take a guess on what Vallo decided to do. I got the ecstatic reunion (or re-reunion) from my sister's twins and found out I'm also apparently a great aunt. (Way to make me feel older than 37, thanks.)

What else did I miss? Besides people dancing everywhere. I caught the tail end of that.

As fun as all this musical and future kid chaos is - can't believe you guys made me a grandpa already - anyone free to watch Lucy for a few hours?

And then anyone strong enough to lift a wooden beam, I need your help.
