Team D,

I was sorry to hear of the loss of Adam. I did not know him well, but he seemed kind and affable, and I'm sure that losing him was not easy.

I know how difficult it can be to accept new leadership, especially when it comes from an outside source. I regret that I do not know any of you as well as I might like to.

I should like to change that, by having you all for dinner tomorrow night at 18:00, so that I might become better acquainted with all of you before our first patrol shift.

Please let me know whether or not you're able to attend.

Obsequiousness is also unne I am lucky to have been given the chance as team coordinator. I am sure that Adam was an excellent coordinator, and while I'm sure that there may be an adjustment period, I will endeavor to do my best to live up to the example he set before me.

We grew up together back home, but I’m fine. There’s nothing I can do.

Adam’s mom, Marlena, is still here. Would you be opposed to me bringing her as an additional guest for dinner?

It can be. I'm at the point where I've just learned to accept this is how it works. I don't have to like it, but even all the magic I possess isn't enough to change it.

I've never had any magic myself, but I imagine it must be doubly frustrating to have perhaps had the ability to do something in your own world, only to discover its not not possible here.

He had a good head for leadership. A team or a crew that are familiar with one another outside of the confines of their duties tend to work better than teams that do not have those bonds.

I spent most of my life in the Navy, and it was much the same, though in our case we were often ship-bound with one another for months at a time. Did Adam train with you back home?

It wouldn't be immediately, but I thought that once I see a little more how this team works, it might be beneficial to have any of us who wish to to run a training session. I imagine we all must have a wide variety of skills amongst ourselves, and learning from one another can only be a boon.

But neither her nor my militaries are present here, while the Department of Defense very much is; I would not wish to cause any confusion in the ranks by maintaining the use of a title that I do not carry in this world.

Sorry, not a funny joke when you don't have the context. Natasha Romanoff - she's on Team B, she's my sister. We train together every morning, and she's usually up my ass on me about being reckless. I'm not that bad anymore, though, I swear.
