I seem to be leaving a trail of glitter in my wake, whenever I move about. Apologies in advance, as I am well aware of how difficult it is to get out of, well--most anything.

I think I finally have the greenhouses set up the way that I want. It is a little strange to not have someone sneaking in constantly to reorganize after I've already organized and make me have to start all over again. I hadn't considered how it would feel. I didn't even have to reorganize the potions closet. I was tempted to disorganize it myself just to feel better about it.

Additionally, I still need four or more people for Quidditch. If someone else wants to play? I know we've had new people show up since my last post. It's birthday Quidditch if it makes a difference (for my birthday, I mean) and I've been giving both flying and Quidditch lessons.

Be your best sexy sexy self in a photoshoot with all the cutest and coolest animals at the Vallo Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary and the Vallo City Animal Shelter, and help us to repeat the incredible success of last year's effort.

We are also seeking volunteer photographers, makeup artists, stylists, set dressers, and others who are skilled artisans/artists comfortable with and respectful toward a variety of people and animals in varying states of undress.

I am very thankful for Tina Cohen-Chang's impeccable organization skills. It has made stepping into managing The Art of Expression much less troublesome than it could be, and also offered great inspiration for improving my own systems. Now that I know of "color-coding" I will never be able to return to simple black and white sorting again.

Some announcements for the public:

• Registration for Art of Expression Youth Art Camps (open to young people between the ages of 5 and 18) will remain open until the 13th of May.
  
• Beginning in June, Art of Expression will host "open studio nights," events which will allow audiences to connect with artists of all kinds and witness their work. If you are an artist interested in sharing your craft with others through these events, please contact me.
  
• The Art of Expression will be hosting a juried exhibition of visual art in autumn. The theme is Proportion. Applications will be due September 30.

I enjoyed the magic symposium. It made me want to experiment more with my own magic. Well, a mixture of my magic, the zidian, and the magic of the totem. I think I'm on my way to managing a sort of storm cloud with lightning. Aiming the energy is proving difficult, but it's possible I just need a more inspiring target.

OOC Note: Sorry for deleting the version of this I posted yesterday, I was having a bad anxiety day and spun myself up worrying over jokes not landing well and panic-deleted. Apologies especially to the people who had already commented or were trying to comment, I hope you will forgive me my transgression and not hold this against me forever/never comment on another thing I write for the rest of our lives.

Who knows things about getting rid of curses? We don't know we have curse on Haus, but we are worried enough that we think maybe we should do everything we can find out about to break curses just in case. Even when things are normal, hockey people basically are like granny witches, doing little rituals so we feel like we are in charge of fate. Now things are not normal, magic is real, so we need more stuff to do against bad luck.

Here is what I have collected so far with google:

• Decoy Poppet: Make little dolls of us to distract the bad luck. Poppet looks like doll; is there difference between poppet and doll? Should we also make decoy of Haus?
  
• Mirrors: Put mirrors outside Haus to bounce back curses
  
• Salt Bath: Take bath with salt and baking soda and lavender oil. I am thinking I will do this anyway, it sounds relaxing.
  
• Crystal Wand: It says use selenite wand, wave it around body and area to cleanse.
  
• Smoke Cleansing: Burn bundle of herbs, wave smoke around. Different ones say different herbs, do magic people here have ideas?
  
• Floral Cleansing Bowl: Instead of lighting on fire, put herbs in bowl of hot water and carry them around.
  
• Lemon?: Sweep your aura with a salted lemon, it says. I do not know how to sweep aura, please explain if you know.
