Sorry for the delay in follow up to Mei's post. Sirius has been in a coma since the attack and only just woke up. I'd appreciate it if everyone would take a moment to give him a stern look the next time you see him. This is the second time he's scared the hell out of me.

Covens and other orgnaizations are coming together to help rebuild after the attack of the...things. I've heard from a few and said I would pass on the message of how anyone who might want to help, can. Many people are taking this destruction as an opportunity to build back stronger, and help others to do the same.


Volunteers
-Enki is funding a lot of this, and using the opportunity to incorporate more green technology throughout Vallo for those who are interested.
-The team at Papa's Pride are stepping up to help strenghten shields around buidling and working collaboratively with Enki.
- Silniara is opening up their doors for anyone who needs assistance with injuries.
- Cerberus' Books, Salie Coven, and newcomers Two Chicks Cafe are offering meals to those currently displaced from their homes from the attack, and those helping with teh rebuild.
- Bekth, Geliara, and Asetenarra are offering resources and assistance where they can.
- Vorerra Construction is offering buidlig materials and their Hotel division is offering temporary homes (I'm just the messenger).
- An Art fundraise is being lead by Brorose.
- The Barnes is offering delivery of eggs, milk, and essentials to farms in the forest.

Where to Help
- MageNet grounds were hit hard by the attack, including the Aviary and the Skyline Towers, where a lot of coven members live.
- Severeal greenhouses owned by Silniara have suffered extreme damage. Plants are currently being protected by a steady source of magic.
- Soups Soups Soups is rebuidling, as many of you are aware and are currently heartbroken over. I get it.
- The building that houses Baker, Pearson, & Wu and their neighbors was severly damaged.
- There are several small businesses reporting a wide range of damages, a comprehensive list can be found on several websites, including the Government of Vallo, Enki, and the DOA.
- Same with several communities in the woods, including several farms, homes, and small schools.
- The Leaky Cauldron needs assistance with strengthening wards around the building.
- Assistance repairing Prigany's caravans.

While celebrations will be smaller now, a reminder that tomorrow is the Lunar New Year, and the start of Imbolc.

With major damage at MageNet and the Skyline, Lunar New Year festivities have been shifted to a smaller event as rebuild efforts are under way. Bonnie will be posting about efforts later as the covens come together, but please swing by for a smaller, but still delicious event full of dumplings tomorrow!

Thank you all that came out to help me at the Aviary last week. Most of our birds made it and we will be honoring the ones that didn't tomorrow.

Hi, situation at the Aviary. The rest of Enki and employees are holed up at MageNet and the Skyline and can't get to me right now because they're holding off the creepy fuckers in both places.

Some of my colleagues and I are stuck up on one of the nests at the Aviary, trying to get the top part of the dome open. I can't fly with a broken leg, so any assistance would be appreciated for a rescue and to get the dome open.

See, this is why I prefer space stations to planets. You never just come across unexpected flora and fauna in a space station, and if you do, congratulations, your shit's fucked (see: Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), Ale-- you know what, the whole damn series). But now we're on a planet, and we don't know what all is on it, and then it's just a neverending symphony of "what the shit is thaaaaaaat". Even planets that have been explored for centuries are always turning up new species like the worst game of whack-a-mole ever.

We're birthing the new batch of birds of prey AIs this afternoon, if you want to come participate. Or if you need time off, I can talk to Kumar and Jaziri for you.

I didn't get to post about this earlier, but given the bad weather of yesterday and having to reschedule it, I got a second chance! Enki Coven will be hosting a kite festival on the grounds of MageNet in honor of Uttarayan on the 21st that is open to all. There will be a fair, bonfire, a feast, and, of course, kite fighting (as well as kite flying for those of you that don't want to cut up your fingers). There will be the opportunity to bathe in the Yamuna river (it will be COLD) for those that want to go full in on tradition.

Also with Lunar New Year coming up, Enki Coven will be hosting an open event on the grounds of MageNet on the 1st of February. There will be traditional foods offered from various traditions (dumplings, Buddha's Delight, mandarin oranges to name a few!) and we will be lighting a moon house on fire. You will have the opportunity to add wishes to it before the lighting ceremony!

Prayer sessions will be held earlier in the day during both events, that people are welcome to join or witness.

Hi there! The Outlander Coven was nice enough to invite Enki out today to showcase some of the magic we use and what we use it for. We decided we wanted to highlight Enki's Green Initiative because it's important to our hearts and for the environment.

December Outlander Coven Meeting

Winter Solstice, Yule, and Enki Coven Guests

This meeting will be held at the Tower library on the third floor, special thanks to Caleb for providing the space! December is a busy month, with the Winter Solstice and Yule celebrations fast approaching. The coven meeting will provide information on upcoming holiday events and activities Outlanders can expect to find or be invited to with local friendly covens (this does not include specific personal invites characters may receive based on their individual relationship with covens). They'll also go over Yule and Winter Solstice traditions in Vallo for anyone who is new or wants a refresher! Catering was purchased from Salie Coven, and Bonnie is hopeful they'll have members attend meetings in the new year. Yule Gifts were also provided to attendees from Max and Bonnie, 'tis the season! Nothing too extravagant. Little gift bags of baked goods, chocolates, Yule trinkets, offerings they can use during the upcoming celebrations, etc. Enki Coven is joining the Outlander coven for this months meeting! So as December hits, I'm reminded of the fact that there is a SMALL POSSIBILITY that, um, we're all getting thrown into a winter holiday Hallmark movie. Or, as it stands to reason given past instances, several winter holiday Hallmark movies.

What the fuck, you may ask?

Well, there's a reality altering witch among us (Hi, not you Wanda! ♥ There's others!) that's been looking for her special someone for the past few decades. She occasionally finds her wintertime beau and we'll get a couple of years of relative peace during this time of year. Since the Outlanders have arrived, we haven't experienced this phenomenon. However, sources (read: witchy gossip among the Ankou grannies) have told me that Ms. Hallmark just broke up with her bff of the last three years and so we might be in for it this year.

So what are we in for?

A town called Serendipity Hills appears for a few days. Some of us locals get pulled into it to live out fairly cheesy holiday movie tropes, while Ms. Hallmark tries to find her new Mr. Hallmark. Other than living out a few days of gazebo dates, winter bake offs, log cabin snowstorms, and fireplace romances, not much else happens. Serendipity Hills also shows up on our televisions as a show so we can catch the latest romances as they're happening. And from all past experience, everything that happens is something our inner selves want to have happen, it's just a little holiday love magic setting the mood. The locals that do get pulled in sometimes have new names and backstories, but at their core, are still themselves.

We've also found that the people that get pulled in want to get pulled in at some level, so it's become tradition to let it run its course. I got a girlfriend out of it a few years back. Ask me about my Hallmark persona. Also, trying to pull anyone out never works, so we simply don't try anymore. Does Ms. Hallmark need therapy? Probably. But I'm not the one to tell the reality altering witch what to do.

So head's up, weird shit might happen this month (as always), but it's fairly harmless. Do I have anymore answers than what I wrote here? No. Are there whole viewing parties dedicated to Serendipity Hills? Yes. Hit me up, I'll send you a list of the best ones if this does go down.

I understand there's quite a bit going on right now, but - are there any technologically-minded individuals who wouldn't mind lending a hand with Sentinels? They are gigantic robots created to eradicate mutants, or anyone with the potential to have mutant children. And while crushing them like they're tin cans would technically be easy for me, they can take ice and stone forms. They also can mimic powers, and shapeshift to change sizes as well.

But they're very strong and do not deviate from their 'mission' easily. Rogue and myself managed to take one down but there are a few others out there, combing the forest. I have a few of the parts we've scavenged, if that would help create some kind of mechanism to dismantle them and their programming in one fell swoop.

Pierogi for anyone who helps? Is that what I'm known for now? I suppose it's better than what I'm known for back home.

It seems something has happened with Dr. Strange, though I don't know specifics other than what little I've been told. Does anyone have eyes on this new one that's appeared?

Uh Hey. It's Jack. So uh- we're doing a fundraiser next month for the Youth Hockey teams of Vallo - it's a big joint thing with all the teams, Outlanders and Vallo natives both. It's Outdoors, at a big open skate at the winter rink they set up in the main city park, so bring yourselves and your kids. There's going to be games and food and Bitty's pie, and everything raised goes towards equipment and upkeep and funds that keep costs low for the kids and their families.

Anyway, yeah. Oh! December 11th. It's an all-day thing, I think? And if you want to volunteer to run a booth or set up a table of things to sell, uhhh let me know and I'll get you in touch with our coordinator? Which is clearly not me, haha.
