As much as I like being busy, seeing a lot of injuries from dinosaur attacks isn't really something I would've signed up for. I don't think even a raging zombie is a match against a T-Rex, though, so I'm at least glad I can be useful in some other way.

Have the dinosaurs been sent back to the island? At least, has the T-Rex been sent back? I can't believe I'm talking about actual dinosaurs.

Does that include major surgeries? Does your clinic even have the facility for surgery, or is it more of a general practice center?

Reminder for all the back to school kids and parents/guardians - annual exams and all medical expenses are covered by the DOA at the Chakrabarti Clinic. So if you need to get your annual exam done because you haven't done it yet or need a sports physical done, come down and see us! Edited to add: These are not mandatory things (unless the sport you're playing requires it, but that's up to your coaches and schools), but they are recommended. I know doctors and hospital settings can be scary for some, but there's nothing to be scared of. I talk all patients through everything I do and we move at each person's comfort level.

Sex ed is cancelled this upcoming Sunday, but first aid is still on for Saturday. We're still hiring and can use more support staff - janitorial, clerical, and interns are needed and welcomed!

I know Ravi's talked about the clinic on here, the one he set up (which, echoing his sentiments, everyone should get a check-up at some point) but I just wanted to add that I've got what I've dubbed the Snooze Room there as well, and I'm terrible at names so I'm also taking better suggestions. But if anyone is having trouble sleeping and needs to get some rest, I can help you there. We can talk about what the over-arching issue is too, in case a specialist is needed, but also think of it as a cozy nap room. Of sorts.

And I'm still running the NA/AA meetings on Wednesday nights too, for any new people in need of the info. The Death group is afterward and as a testament to my terrible naming skills, I still don't know what else to call that one.

In honor of Beyoncé's glorious entrance into the world, yes, that Beyoncé whom I once met in Mykonos, there will be a speed dating event on September 4th. Hosted by moi, the event will begin at 6:00 PM and will be held at Ásynja Meadery. Food and drinks available for purchase, but try not to get too sloppy or lose your top too early.

There will be a $10 registration fee, and all proceeds go to benefit the Chakrabarti Clinic, because we all have to take care of ourselves and get those pap smears if that applies to you. If you're interested in signing up or signing up someone else who is too shy to sign up but is sitting around sad and lonely, eyeliner flaking off as they listen to Creep by Radiohead, let us know!

Do you ever get tempted to eat a brain in front of someone out of spite or is that just me?

Hello all. We've had a few new people join us so I just wanted to do a refresher: I run The Chakrabarti Clinic under the DOA umbrella that's open to both Vallo natives and Outlanders. Outlanders pay nothing to visit the clinic and get checked out. We have doctors, magical healers, and nurses, so please come see us for anything you might be concerned about or even for your regular checkups. All types of people are welcomed - alive, undead, part human, android, fully alien, etc.

In the interest of full disclosure inspired by my friend Liv Moore - I am a zombie three days a month and human the rest of the time. If you have any concerns over being seen by me, there are magical healers that you can see instead.

Also, the clinic's next first aid class is this Saturday at 10 AM. Sex ed will be Sunday 2 PM. All are welcome.

Hi, I'm Liv and I'm a zombie.

It's weird to just put that out in the open. Please don't worry, I won't hurt anyone. Ravi has me connected to a supply of brains which keep me from going full Romero. I keep my nails short so I won't accidentally scratch someone. The last thing I want to do is make anyone else a zombie.

Also, please note that injury, fear, basically anything that spikes adrenaline will cause what I refer to as "full-on zombie mode." I'm still not dangerous then but I will look like the monster I am (red eyes, veiny face, superhuman strength).
