Hello. It feels odd to introduce myself as many of you already know me, but I am Essek Widogast and I'm here with Caleb (also) Widogast. If my husband's perfect recall can be relied upon, which I am willing to stake most everything on it, the versions of us that you know normally should still be deep within the Aeor that was brought to Vallo, being very much themselves while surrounded by ancient Exandrian magic and technology.

Which is to say, and I'm doing a poor job of getting to the point, we are from a different timeline and time. A few hours ago, we were in 2033 within a branch of the future that is hopefully not your own. The Temporal Concurrence and the aligning of the leylines does, it seem, allow for some otherwise so-called impossible magic when one(s) puts many months of work into entirely too many sleepless nights their wizard mind(s) to it.

I cannot promise to keep a long story short as there are many moving parts and I tend to be accidentally verbose in the best of times, but I think many of you may remember the attack from Interitus that happened in August of 2021. He was not as gone as we had all hoped and is now wreaking havoc upon my and Caleb's timeline. Thanks to the concurrence and the influx of magic, our intel is advising that he is planning on ascending beyond his current form into something akin to godhood. Should he do so, his powers will be made more or less limitless and there will be no stopping him from traveling freely within timelines to destroy every version of Vallo, as has been his will all along. Our version has just been practice for him.

As for why we have broken through literal time and space to visit the past, we are seeking aid. This has already been discussed with the DOA, but there are a few things that we are here for specifically.

First, Interitus is using a simulacrum of sorts as a power focus, which has allowed him to bide his time in our world and eventually build up enough power in secret to take over. We believe that this simulacrum had already arrived in March of 2023--in February, specifically. We do not know where, but our hope is that you fine people will be able to locate and destroy it, specifically at the height of the concurrence to not give away our plans.

Second, Caleb and I are in search of a very specific tome from the Great Library. We unfortunately do not have access to the Library in our time as you do now, but we believe that the tome we are looking for has information regarding locating the object needed to pierce through Interitus's magical defenses. If any librarian friends are willing to volunteer to help with that, as we do need this before we return to our time tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, and I realize that this is the largest ask of them all, a vision from one of the Prigany psychics has shown us that there are specific people in the future that aid in the efforts. Our understanding is that these people come to us from your timeline and travel to our own. We have a list of those people, who I will be filtering separately with more information. Please know there is no expectation. We are not here to force anyone to help, regardless of psychic visions.

This is long and a great deal of information for a Monday, I understand. Caleb and I are here to answer any questions that we can--at least those questions that do not pose more harm to the timelines than our being here already might.

I'm not sure what it says about me that my Vallo experience so far, aside from spending time with family, has mostly revolved around food but I guess there's worse things. Highly recommend the Jjambbong at Angry Tofu though. About as spicy as my Ma used to make it. Which is saying something.

I've had plenty experience bartering with Jawas and those kriffing bastards go hard. Given the amount of credit I just dropped on cookies after politely declining at first, I'd love to see them try dealing with Girl Scouts.

Cautelosa has decided she is an indoor duckling and the coffee cup is her new home. I guess it's warmer in here than it is outside now so I don't really blame her. Plus, it's adorable.

So update... two more showed up last night - this morning I guess? At some point between 1 and 4 am. Franci and Faye. Franci has requested we go to, and I quote, "the place where I won the giant rat", for Atreus' birthday again. I am assuming she means Chuck E Cheese, or at least I'm hoping she does and there's not somewhere handing out real giant rats to six year olds. I managed to convince her to go Good Times instead on the promise there is still, and again, I quote "the thing where I threw balls in a hole". But I figured it'll be at least slightly less grating than Chuck E Cheese and have better food. Friday night at 6, we have a room booked.

Oh and coffee. Someone please send me all the coffee.

Alright, so, looks like Vallo decided I needed a trip back to Year One. Cool. Cool cool cool. Hi, past Vallo. I'm sure you've already heard you're all babies, but just in case, you're all babies.

Btw past-me (present-me? I still don't get the technicalities of these things) signed us up for pumpkin carving, Nat. Can Yelena be trusted with knives at this age?

I've been working my way up to a little bit of an ask. Usually I'm pretty self-sufficient so asking for help is hard enough but this one almost feels a little embarrassing as well given what I've picked up about it while being here.

Tatooine was so damn dry we had people who farmed moisture out of the air and sold it for rations. We were lucky to get one good rain a year if that. So that being said, the idea of water being free for all, regular rain falls, snow, that's all new to me and, well, I don't know how to swim. Since it doesn't look like I'll be going back anytime soon, I suppose I'd like to learn. Just feels a little strange when it's mostly youngins that are learning.

Well, if anyone is going to need some serious anxiety and sleep meds for the next several months time being, come by the clinic to pick them up. That includes both people just getting back and people who were watching/waiting. The clinic is going to have odd hours tonight.

I'm reaching out to Enki, but calling all space/engineering nerds. I have a Galra fighter from our world that showed up a little while ago that we're working on repairing. DOA is aware of it, but I'd like to get it operational because it's really fast and Shiro wants to fly it to be able to use it in future Vallo incidents. Left wing is damaged from a battle in our world and weapons systems are down, but it looks like our biggest issue is the power source. That was damaged in the battle too and it seems like it's only capable of powering on, but not actual flight.

I can't pay much, but I'll make it right somehow if you can help.

Here we go again. The clinic is super well lit and the wards are still on. There's medical personnel here to help and another portal to patch you up and send you off to the big guns at the hospital if you need higher level of care.

But for anyone who is still fairly new and may not be used to this place's wtfery yet.. we have plenty of people with magical powers that would heal you a lot faster. But it's totally up to your personal comfort to accept that or use non-magical healing.

Never really saw myself as the kind to have animals but Jolene came along to prove me wrong and then a few days ago during one of her walks came across a kitten. Couldn't find a mother or others. Since then, Jolene's become quite smitten with the little womp rat so I guess I'm gonna need a name for her.

If someone wants to cover scars with tattoos I can give you some advice in what not to do. Start with fresh needles, for one thing.

Since it's already been brought up, I'd like to remind everyone that the Clinic does often teach first aid classes multiple times throughout the year. So if you're interested in learning, you can leave a name here and I'll inform you when the next set of classes come around.

Even though ideally we would love for everyone to stay safe and never require it, Vallo likes to throw something big and bad at us on multiple occasions. But also, it's helpful to know around the household as well.

If anyone is considering also being CPR certified, let me know as well. When the worst events hit, we appreciate volunteers at the clinic, especially as Vallo giveth and also taketh away.
