It has been just over a fortnight since I found myself here in Vallo and I must say it has been a rather interesting time. Torgal has been enjoying exploring the woods and fighting the basilisks since his own arrival, though I suspect he very much misses Clive we both do -

It is still strange to try to wrap my head around certain things here. To see people living for the sake of just that, and not constantly just trying to survive. I will admit, despite assurances that somehow we all exist both here and where we come from, I still find myself feeling quite guilty over my presence here. That it is a break from my duties back home that I perhaps do not deserve. I imagine I am not alone in this feeling and that it might be something that may come with time. Though I doubt the feeling would every entirely go away.

I have immensely been enjoying the different foods here, and I am certain I have only scratched the surface on that and would take any recommendations that anyone was inclined to offer.

Filtered to DOA and Library Staff:

A book was stolen from the Great Library’s Special Collections section about twenty minutes ago. I made an attempt at apprehending the thief but was unsuccessful in doing so. I am hereby requesting an investigation by the DOA, as I suspect this is part of a pattern.

Additional relevant information:
- the stolen volume is The Art of Control, a study in mind magic that is forbidden in nearly every world where it exists
- the thief was dressed in ancient Assyrian style, Neo-Assyrian Empire period
- the thief seemed to disappear in the alley behind the library

Because I had absolutely no signal on our honeymoon (it was planned that way) I just want to say thank you to everyone who made it to our wedding last Saturday. You all looked fabulous by staying on theme. Now that we've been back for a little over 24-hours-ish, I have pictures. You're all stuck having to look at them because my husband (I know I said I would never be this person, but marriage changes you and I am a changed woman) looked good.
