Last year for my birthday, Vallo gave everyone a very peaceful week. This year, not only was there a viral flashmob, but my boyfriend sang Perfect by Ed Sheeran in its entirety to wake me up. That's one way to congratulate me on being twenty-one, I guess?

If anyone happened to catch me taking down a fax machine at the Rage Cage with excessive force yesterday, let's pretend you didn't. Especially because I heard someone singing Whistle While You Work between smashing, and I'm not going to name names, but you know.

My morning's been weird and it's got nothing to do with spontaneous singing, but two things:

1) People who work for the DOA welcoming committee need pay increases

and

2) Don't scratch my ears because I will slash your face

Apparently the singing is spreading. Sorry to everyone who hates glee? Lowercase, not capital. Welcome to what it's like living in my reality of origin. Enjoy the ride, watch out for glitter bombs and confetti, and be thankful there's no flying slushies.

I don't know why Vallo has decided we need to spontaneously burst into song, but I, for one, approve. My boyfriend has a very sexy voice, and I'm still swooning.

I think I've finally managed to work out how to use this.

My name is Will Laurence, and I've only just arrived. As strange as it all is to adjust to, I've felt quite welcome; I don't think I've ever known a people so prone to burst into song before, and I grew up on Ships where Work Songs were quite common.

Second, I've been under the impression, and I hope that someone can correct me, that Vallo does not possess a Dragon Covert. If I'm incorrect, I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the Correct Direction. If I'm correct, I would appreciate any help in regards to finding a Location where a Heavy-Weight Dragon may wait to be found, or, if anyone has discovered a Dragon who goes by the name of Temeraire, if they could take me to him.

So I'm going to college.

Classes are finalized and financial aid came through. There's a guy named Cobb from the Outlander community that I'm taking a class or two with? Still feels weird, this whole experiment, but helping at the Sanctuary and patrol wasn't taking up enough of my time.

I need to go pick up a laptop and some supplies though. Books too. Either one of you want to go with me tomorrow?

Oh. And I'm keeping the cabin. Shiro was right. It would make a good safe house.
