Some may be surprised to find out Stephen Strange was familiar with this song. Maybe he'd eventually blame it on whatever music magic was floating around, or maybe the teenage musician he'd adopted who could frequently be found listening to or playing music. Whatever the reason, Dr. Strange was in the kitchen when the pull to sing made its way into the Sanctum. And thus, the song began with the first Hook, sung by Doctor Strange, while he was busy making a cup of tea.
All residence aside from Prue were present and accounted for...and were all in locations where they could easily hear the start of the song. Even if they hadn't, the music filling the halls of the Sanctum would have been a giveaway. Rosalind, Kady (with an "Ah shit, not again"), and Wanda are soon drawn toward the kitchen from various points around the Sanctum.
It's Roz who joins in first, sock-sliding into the kitchen Risky Business style. While she is not a rapper, she is good at the art of speak-singing. Taking over from Stephen, Roz joins in for Verse 1 , dancing around the kitchen. Her arrival spurs on the Cloak, who has decided it likes whatever music madness is going down. Taking that as a sign, Roz fully lets herself have fun with the Verse, getting into the the lyrics and breaking out ridiculous dance moves around the kitchen.
Wanda and Kady join in soon after, and when the next Hook hits, Wanda takes over the song. (Roz briefly disappears from the kitchen, only to return a second later with her bass guitar around her neck, already playing.) Wanda's singing voice somehow has an exrteme American accent? No one seems to be questioning it though as the mini dance party continues in the kitchen, with Roz, Wanda and the Cloak clearly the ones enjoying themselves the most. Stephen might be in physical pain, but he's forced to deal with the antics.
To everyone's surprise, the Fridge Demon decides that it also wants in on the action, and when Verse 2 drops, it joins in (with Kady backing it). As it turns out, the Fridge Demon is more than capable of hypnotizing you with every line. It's performance causes a brief pause in all dancing as everyone turns to look at the fridge in disbelief. No one saw that coming.
Everyone gets over it quickly though, because a performance waits for no one, and the kitchen dance party resumes. Kady takes the final solo, wrapping things up and bringing the song to an end with support from the Fridge Demon. While she doesn't exactly seem thrilled to be doing this again (there actually is a demon involved this time, as it turns out), she crushes her part.
You can't have a song about magic, sung by people with magic, without some actual magic. The last hook features actual displays of magic, in the form of various lightshows, floating kitchen objects, and the refrigerator rocking back and forth as the demon attempted to dance. The final note was sung while Wanda grabbed Stephen and executed the perfect dancing dip.
So much for a quiet cup of tea!
[Verse 1: Roz (& Stephen)]
These tricks that I'll attempt will blow your mind (mind)
Pick a verse, any verse, I'll hypnotize you with every line (ah!)
I'll need a volunteer, how about you, with the eyes? (right there)
Come on down to the front and stand right here and don't be shy (Bobby)
I'll have you time travellin', have your mind babblin'
People tryin' to inherit the skill, so they askin' me
Even David Blaine had to go and take some classes and
I see Mindfreak like "What's up man, what's happenin'?" (Mindfreak!)
So come one, come all and see the show tonight (ha)
Prepare to be astounded, no ghost or poltergeist
You know I'm no Pinocchio, I never told a lie
So call me Mr. Magic Man, I float on Cloud 9, haha
[Hook: Wanda (& Roz)]
I got the magic in me (I got the magic, baby)
Every time I touch that track it turns into gold (yes it turns to gold)
Everybody knows I got the magic in me (I got the magic, baby)
When I hit the floor, the girls come snappin' at me (they be snappin' baby)
Now everybody wants some presto magic, magic, magic
Magic, magic, magic
Magic, magic, magic
Ahooooooo, I got the magic in me
[Verse 2: Fridge Demon (& Kady)]
We'll take a journey into my mind (mind), you'll see why it's venom I rhyme
Stay on the road, so I call my mama when I got time
I hit the stage, go insane, then jump into that crowd (ah)
See, see, when I rhyme I flow on the beat like pitta-da-da
See I deceive ya with my intergalactic ether (yeah)
I sing just like Aretha, so respect me like I'm Caesar
I kick it like Adidas, flowin' sticky like adhesive
Be cautious, 'cause what I be on'll leave ya with amnesia
I break all the rules like Evel Knievel (yeah!)
It's a spectacular show, 'cause my heart pumps diesel
So whatever you sayin', it don't entertain my ego
I do this everyday, Hocus Pocus is my steelo
[Hook: Kady (& Fridge Demon)]
