Yes, good. I suppose if I had to choose between 'dreary future where we are all ruled by a Darkspawn with a wee tad bit of megalomania' and 'absolutely not knowing a fucking thing about what's going on,' I would choose the second option.

The introduction is quite thorough, however, so I imagine that I am not the only soul pulled away from slaying tentacle creatures or dealing with the likes of armed supremacist cults. And politics. And warm weather that is essentially drinking bath water every time you breathe.

The name's Dorian and this place just feels utterly bizarre.

Okay, but have you considered how dangerous even trying any of that stuff with lava would be? I'd say impossible but if the end of the world and this place have taught me anything, it's that everything has the possibility of going to shit really, really quickly.

Who the devil is Geralt and why do I keep having thoughts about him? I do not need to be lusting after someone I've never heard of and don't know what he looks like but apparently he has a nice arse?

Some tips for those that are newly made telepaths via magical nonsense of this place:

• Humming a favorite song of yours helps drown out the noise.
  
• Warm baths and candles can relax those muscles that you haven't realised you've been tensing up in response to hearing voices in your head.
  
• Watching a movie or reading a book mutes the noise considerably.
  
• Alcohol helps.

I encourage people who have found ways to help with the voices in your head to share your tricks.

Also, if anyone knows of any bookstores hiring, please let me know.

It's been three days now of unsolicited thoughts about love and muffins which have no business in my head. Please tell me this can't continue much longer.

Not to add to the flow of confusing thoughts out there, but to the person considering what classes they ought to be taking: Death in Perspective sounds pretty fucking cool, I am just saying. I really don't know what Star Trek is and only have the bare minimum grasp of the concept of physics, but Death in Perspective. Do take this with a grain of salt as the only reason I got through my schooling was because my sister did most of my homework for me, as I was far too busy learning how to throw knives and hating my father as all angst ridden teens are, so I am not someone to give advice about higher education. But, you know, there's some unsolicited advice from someone apparently loosely affiliated with the goddess of death for you anyway.

Also, everything about your significant others is going to rot my teeth. It's very sweet.

I have been here for a handful of weeks now and while the break from my previous reality hasn't been too unwelcome, I'm officially reaching the stage where I need more to do. I don't have much experience actually finding a job given that I kind of stepped into my last one at home, so I was hoping that I might start here to potentially get some feelers.

That being said, is anyone by chance looking for someone with a background in mechanical engineering, plus a dash of industrial? I realize that's a bit specific, but aim high, right?

What the fuck does that have to do with you? Three words: Vegan Alternative Brain. Yes! Do I have any idea if this will actually fucking work? No! But if someone wants to give it a shot, I can even flavor it with my own special selection of memories and winning personality if that makes a difference.

This is the second time a KPD has gifted me with living clay, so clearly it's meant to be used for this purpose. Clearly. What's the worst that could happen?

Huh. Okay, wigged. I don't think I've ever been to a dimension where magic and technology played together this well. Usually it's like two kids in a sandbox and one is like "rawr my dinosaurs are cooler" and the other is like "well my sand truck bulldozes everything you've ever touched" and then the fighting happens.

Are there any witches here? Apparently the Amazon guy got held up and somewhere between the Milky Way and can't deliver my grimoire. Which is, y'know, great if you're trying to not cast spells you don't have memorized. I don't traverse the skein of the multiverse that often.
