Anyyway, fight club is a week from Saturday and we're throwing in a side event in honour of finding literally any excuse to throw more punches after this bollocks. So if you're interested in randomly paired fights two on two, come by this week to add your name to the pot. It's just one match per person at the tail end of the night for some extra fun. Well, as it's been nearly three weeks since we've arrived and I've seen no sign that you lot are planning on either sacrificing us or indoctrinating us into what amounts to a fanged MLM cult, I can only assume that you're playing the long game. I can respect that. I was once kidnapped for three months and nothing happened, literally nothing, so I suppose my patience has been honed.

A few updates - I'm looking for employment. I considered returning to school, but all enquiries seem to indicate that it won't transfer to home and I refuse to take "Macroeconomic Variables and Markets" more than once because I love myself. I may be interested in taking a music course or two - hobby - but my primarily concern presently is clothing. All I have to call my own is this hideous Target ensemble I picked up back home and some panic boxers I purchased when I first arrived here. I've seen your shops on the Main Street, and some of them are... acceptable, but I'd like to know where you lot enjoy shopping. If you suspect you're probably unqualified to answer this question, you are.

Back home, I'm working on my degree (economics) at university and in school I was top of my graduating class. Reading's a hobby of mine, and magic a way of life. Bros! Anyone want to get down and dirty with some clay? My eyes were def bigger than my hands at an art store, and the deal was so legit I couldn't NOT buy it? So we have A Lot of clay at the Haus. Come by and take some!

Lardo Lesson! Polymer clay is best for like, beginners and kids because it's soft so you can mess with it a lot and you can bake it in the oven when you're ready, so that's super handy. Earthenware clay is what you see when you see flower pots--that's terracotta which is a type of earthenware. It's a little stickier to work with but it's pretty easy to use. And then stoneware clay is the type of clay most people think of when they visualize a pottery wheel, it's the grey clay. Not that other types can't be, but for simplicity sake, yeah.

I'm not amazing at pottery or sculpture with clay, I usually go for like, mixed mediums when doing sculpture--Shitty bedazzled the FUCK out of a jock strap for me once and it was the greatest thing in the world--but I know basics! And I have a wheel somewhere here that I can dig out if anyone is really curious or has a kid who wants to try, just wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy in! No kiln though, damn.

My fave pottery piece I've ever seen was mixed with performance art. One of the shows at Samwell, person literally sculpted a piece of shit, right? And they're like, by the end of the night it will be something different so people were sitting around watching them mold and shape and carve and whatnot. End of the night, it's still a piece of shit, literally. Person stands up, takes a bow and says "I call it politics." Amazing.

Things I am going to regret later: eating a large plate of breakfast nachos, strawberry nutella crepes, and a side of bacon for brunch. Is it absolutely worth it? Yes.
