I just saw Katie a few days ago and now she's gone. She was a friend and though our friendship was newer, I will miss her. She always had a smile and was positive. I hope she's happy back home. Still, fuck you, Vallo. Good friends can be hard to come by.

I'm not as great at the speeches as Steve was even if we have the same name (and don't call me Steve, by the way) - he just had a knack for it. Despite that, I'll do my best.

Sometimes this place sucks but, you know, the pasta's top notch. And blahblahblah, hang tight to the ones you care about.

On another note, I think I've mentioned I do medical research here in addition to some GP clinic work since brain surgery's no longer an option for me. One subsection of that research I'm hoping to focus on is what changes occur with exposure to or bonding with, say, a magical rock or other magical items. And what benefits that may bring, how that can potentially be incorporated into or extended to different treatments. We have some ties to the infinity stones here (including myself) but I know we also have other people who have bonded with magical rocks and things - if you are willing and wouldn't mind coming in to see me, I'd be interested in asking questions and maybe taking a blood sample if possible. No pressure either way, but being transparent about research is important so that's what I've been working on. Clearly I should stick to medical research and not speeches.

Well, that was the second worst ten-day span of my life, thank you very much. The cats were certainly happy to see me again, so at least there's that (my thanks to to those who were able to care for them in my absence).

This whole experience has done nothing do much as make me even more curious of the magic in this place. I'd like to conduct interviews with anyone willing to discuss their magic with me; I've the most interest in magic regarding leylines or foresight, though I'm happy enough to talk any other sorts as well.

I mostly prefer to read all of your exploits rather than post on here directly (and it's been awhile since I have) but - I come on behalf of Asetenarra, whom I officially joined in December. Nothing too long (I'm not very wordy with these) but if you're looking for something to do up to and on Valentine's Day, they'll be hosting a bonfire that I think has been called a 'Boyfriend Bonfire' elsewhere but you don't necessarily have to have a boyfriend - it's merely a 'ritual' wherein you put tokens into a box and, uh, burn it. All in symbolism of leaving a past relationship behind and moving on. It can be any relationship, doesn't have to be romantic.

Dinner will be a part of it too and if you're interested in their very goth recipe please check it out. The cheese is made by them. Looks a bit questionable but tastes delicious - going goth for Valentine's Day is also very Asetenarra. Softly.

But anyway, I suppose I should also note that my office is still downtown, located in the city hospital - when things get insane I tend to pitch in at the ER but I'm currently taking new patients as well. Or just appointments for anything you might need, on the psychiatry front.

I guess this place heard me when I mentioned my club. I'm definitely not rushing to open it right now, but Carpe Noctem is here. If anyone wants a job, contact me. Hi! Sharing info of what we know so far! Feel free to leave any locations you've spotted them or information you've found out and I'll update the list:

- THIS [CW: Sketch of Creepy Monster] is what we're deaing with. They're ugly.
- Eyeless, but can sense through smell and sound
- Uh big gross teeth. Assuming it probably hurts to get bit by them but I don't think you turn INTO one if you do. (.... someone please confirm now I'm worried)
- Regular body damage doesn't really hurt them but can slow them down. Normal arrows aren't super effective.
- Destroying the head works though! Beheading, exploding the whole uh- thing. That was cool, by the way. GROSS, but cool.
- Some wards don't seem to hold them back but I haven't been able to figure out what wards consistently do. The Sanctuary is okay but I've seen them go through some of my protection runes in other parts of the forest? Just run straight through.
- Jörmungandr clear bit the head off of one of them earlier and I got it on video. LMK if you want to see it! IT WAS AMAZING

So I just heard about an old vintage style movie theater that's been restored and having a grand reopening this weekend, which is fun. And the prices are really cheap so that's even better. Except it advertises it's going to only show "oldies" which would be great if they weren't counting Back to the Future and Thelma and Louise as oldies.

You can get your ticket, popcorn, and a drink for $5 though, so it's almost worth being called old over.
