One of our Art Camp activities this week (Sunday) is "Welcome to Cardboard Castle." If anyone has boxes they are willing to donate to the cause of children's art and architecture, please notify me. I will be happy to retrieve them. We seek boxes of all sizes, though large ones are especially valued. We are also accepting donations of tape and Christmas Lights.

We all wish to thank the community for supporting us, that we may in turn support you. Your assistance yesterday was vital to our staff and volunteers, as has been the ongoing support that allows us to keep up this space and its activities on a regular basis.

If today brings any new complaints, send them directly to me. Such nonsense concerns are not your responsibility.

If you need anything at all over the course of the day, be it support, supplies, direction, or a reprieve from your duties, call upon me. I wish to support this endeavor fully, so I ask that you consider me a resource entirely at your disposal.

Guess what! Since we have so many more kids than usual, Art of Expression is launching a special session of ART CAMP!!!

Instead of our usual signups, this time we're just doing show-ups! Starting this morning, kids from 5 to 12 will be with me in The Big Classroom at Cloud Recesses, and we'll have a super great time playing with all kinds of media, including paints and pastels and clay! There's room for all ability and experience levels, so if you want to make art, just come on up the mountain!

If you're bringing a kid, make sure they wear something they can get messy, and pack a lunch. If they need any special accommodations, just let me know and I will make it happen.

And if there are any kids who see this and want to come but don't have an adult yet, just pipe up! We'll find someone to show you the way here and make sure you've got a good lunch.

Annnnnnnnnd any of our suddenly-teenagers need stuff to do (or our regular teenagers, for that matter), I wouldn't mind an extra hand child-wrangling, so like...hmu if you need extra activities. I already had like a half dozen regular Vallo moms and dads responding that they'd be coming when I sent the message out to our standard mailing list.

With school almost out, I'm curious what this place has in the way of summer camps this year. It's up to the kids, but if I have to be in this house with a bunch of wound up teenagers in need of entertainment the next few months, I might drink too much need more hobbies of my own.

Maybe I'll get a motorcycle.

Apparently you can get a TICKET on a BIKE here? For not wearing a HELMET? This is insane. Everything else about this place is cool, and now they throw this at me? What the hell?

The officer said it's just a warning this time, but if she catches me riding without a helmet again I'm getting a real citation you have to pay money to get rid of, AND I'd have to get something signed by a parent or guardian.

This is such bullshit. I'm enough of a nerd in school already, I can't add wearing a bike helmet on top of it!

I am honored to report that in 2033, we have ended the threat of Interitus for all Vallo timelines. Many are injured, but we are now able to focus on healing rather than destruction.

I know there are some anxious people on your end wondering what's been going on - everyone who decided to travel forward with Caleb and Essek have arrived safely and are now situated with us.

As you can see we are able to communicate across the timelines at the moment using the journals some of us managed to keep over the years. If you'd like to check in with your friends and family who travelled feel free to use this entry to do so.

While the journals will be usable for the next while here we are asking for everyone to refrain from spamming too much. All magic usage is a risk, this included. We are also asking that no one mentions any specifics to the plan, the journals on our end will not leave our safe zone, but should we be ambushed here we do not want any details falling into the wrong hands. As well please keep in mind our journal stock is limited and we are all sharing only a handful, your conversations may be viewed by others.

Alright guys. As you all know, I finally went and wrote my GED on Friday, and I just got a call with the results. And I

I have never wanted or worked on being a valedictorian for my old school, so of course I didn't bring that energy to Vallo. Which means I don't have competition here. One of the professors in this school who absolutely loves me seems to hate the idea that I'm up against this girl named Nicasia, and is not at all getting a thrill out of me having the competition. The girl in question is also not snooping around me and definitely not asking me invasive probing questions about my grades.

It's completely welcoming, and she's not annoying me at all.

Alright, SO, my birthday's in two weeks. You all probably know I require more attention on my birthday than some - no gifts, though, I'm good there. In the absence of Disney (unless Vallo decides to be nice again 👀), I want to plan something fun. I'm not old enough for the wine-and-cheese night that Google suggested.

Karaoke? Escape room? But that wouldn't be fun for spy and spy-adjacent people. Rage room? Everyone here probably likes breaking shit sometimes. Darlings, if you'll indulge me in a poll. Say one had a blood pool--which is exactly what it sounds like a pool of blood, and one had to submerge oneself in said blood pool, would it be preferable for the blood to be warm or cold? Alternative answers regarding temperature are accepted, of course, this doesn't have to be an either or, but the existence of the blood pool is mandatory.

And I ask this because by the "what's mine is yours" property, as Vax is the owner of a blood pool, I now own a blood pool and the question has been the source of riotous debate between us, second only to the great "onyx, panther, obsidian, and midnight are all the same color" debacle, the likes of which we still cannot discuss to this day.

All questions regarding the function of the blood pool may be directed to my beloved, as I would have preferred a sauna or a salt cave, however please do go relatively easy on him because he did come to the store this morning with a lavender latte and also, look at him.

Also, your skincare tip of the day is to apply moisturizer in circular motions, upwards and and away from the center of your face. Skincare products are applied lightest to heaviest! Your magic tip is that when crafting potions, follow the recipe as written--diced goldenseal operates very differently from chopped or minced goldenseal and the line between simmer and boiling is fine.

It's weird how video games got both way harder and way easier in forty years. Like, on one hand, saving? Holy shit, being able to save is amazing! Play pretty much any game right there in your house? So cool! But then there's way more buttons, way more going on, so much more to pay attention to and keep up with. I honestly feel kind of ashamed of thinking that being good at Pong was something to brag about.

Anyway, that's my rambling intro for a request: what video games would you recommend for someone who's not new to the concept, but new to any game made post-1986? Gimme some training wheels so I can get good.
