Okay, like, announcements:

1. Six has been awesome and if you haven't seen it yet, get yourself to the theater for some culture and flashy costumes. Tomorrow's the last night!

2. Visiting Atlantis was luckily not a one-time thing! Our resident Atlantean Ambassador and Shirtless Model, Arthur Curry, has worked with the kingdom down below to broker an entrance to and from Atlantis. There's a checkpoint you'll need to meet at where you can basically get your fins and be escorted into the kingdom, and tech-savvy people are going to work on underwater communications, but it's like totally this beautiful unification of two dolphins forming a heart shape so no one should ruin it by being all "I want to speak to the manager." Just enjoy it for what it is.

3a. To celebrate this momentous occasion, if you spend $10 at Rose Apothecary for any purchase, you receive a free glitter pot! This glitter is biodegradable and cruelty-free. So I wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Sizzlin' Spectacular Summer Shindig at Rose Apothecary a couple weeks ago - it was très fun and you did a good thing for your skin so yay you!

I also think we're all aware that bunnies are rude and the boss bunny was the rudest of them all and my wrist is fractured and I have to probably have a special splint thingee incorporated into my costume for Six, and also have my current costume altered since I'm stress eating like a mofo but that's okay. Because we have a new deal going on at Rose Apothecary. The 'I Hate Everything Ever' package includes:

• A whipped body cream
• A lip balm with botanical extracts
• Rose and jasmine perfume
• A hand-poured votive candle
• And a tote!

So you may hate Everything Ever but you can still love yourself. Light a candle and eat a brownie, as you celebrate you.

Can't say I had any strong opinions on bunnies one way or the other before, but firmly on team fuck that now.

So I just wanted to take a minute when things aren't super weird (I mean, weirder than usual because I think a unicorn ordered a chai tea latte in front of me at Starbucks this morning) to announce that we'll be doing a little summer shindig at Rose Apothecary on July 3rd. It's an in-store demonstration of one of my favorite summer lotions - a handmade honey healing cream, good for all skin types and especially if you get a little sunkissed out there. There's even a version that's a diaper rash cream, for those who actually diaper baby butts on a regular basis. That's the main event, but consider it like a trunk show featuring all our best local vendors.

I'll be serving up fresh lemonade too, because it's actually something I can make without burning down the kitchen. Be there or be...the only one not there.

First off apologies to all the new arrivals I've not caught up with yet; my name is Anders, and I'm nominally in charge of the Magical Research division of Outlanders. Which mostly means keeping track of who's interested in learning what and trying to bring like-minded people together and secure them a chunk of the DOA budget to put towards said learning. If there's things you want to know about Magic, let's talk.

Normally when I do one of these things it's a "Hey, we poked a thing and learned some stuff" information dump or a "Hey, does anyone know about this thing?" net-throw. Today, apparently, I'm here to talk about skeletons.

I'll preface this, for the newer Outlanders, with the fact that the Waypoints don't just pull in fascinating heroic sorts like all of you. Occasionally they also bring through things with knives for arms, or bear-owl hybrids, or angry murder chickens. This week (I say week, I don't know how long this latest madness is going to last) it's decided to pull from Thedas, which is home for a few of us.

So. Skeletons. Specifically, skeletons possessed by demons who, on finding out they've ended up in a dead host rather than a living one, go crazy and start trying to destroy anything with the audacity to not be dead like them. There are a few different sorts, dependent on what manner of demon is doing the possession - some are fast and vicious, some are slow and lumbering - but all of them are vulnerable to fire. Or being smashed with extreme prejudice, if that's more your thing. Be aware they like to attack in numbers, and have a tendency to pretend to be dead before launching an ambush.

Fortunately for us, most if not all of the demons are going to be too weak to break through what passes for a Veil here and instead will die with the host. Otherwise we'd have a whole different problem.

Unrelatedly, I'm still looking into finding a space we can use to store anything dangerous or just potent-and-unwanted that comes through (new people: sometimes Vallo gives you things or places instead of people, we're not sure why or how). If you've got ideas, I'm all ears.

Questions, comments, recommendations for where to source new flavours of sugary whipped air all welcome.

Guess there's a lot of weirdness happening again. Lots of shit getting lost, I guess. We sure this isn't the stupid geese again? Don't really know what to say, but I found a couple of wedding bands? I think so.

For everyone keeping track of places from home, there is a new auto shop right outside of the city limits of Vallo. Well, new to the city, not new to me. Unless Boyd suddenly shows up to take over I'll be maintaining ownership of it for the foreseeable future and handling all repairs there.

I thought this place was so different, but it turns out so many of us had our stories written for us.

Back home I go visit my Mom's headstone and bring her flowers on Mother's Day, but since that's not an option here I was going to go out to a little spot I found in the forest. It's really pretty, by a lake, and I thought I'd put some flowers out on the water instead.

For as many absurd, inexplicable, and nigh on impossible things as I've seen come through the courtroom, this has to be the first time I haven't been able to logic my way through a situation. Magic? Parallel universes? If I wasn't here, seeing it happen with my own two eyes, I never would have believed it. But I am here and I'm not sure there's much more decisive evidence than that.
