After much deliberation, I've decided that I am closing my bookshop to the general public. The only reason why I kept my business was as a pretense to live among humans, and as a grand excuse to keep my bosses from complaining about my ever growing book collection. Having pesky customers coming by is something I will not miss.

Instead, the establishment will be rebranding (as they say) to a reading library. You may come browse, sit, read, and drink some delicious, hot tea. But only upon prior request or invitation. And books will most definitely not be checked out and removed from the premises.

Here's a fun question - do you have any suggestions as to what I could dress up as for All Hallow's Eve?

This is mostly for the Defense Department, but I'm sharing with everyone in an effort to not miss anything important.

I'm looking for anyone who can help with an air search to collect information on the Pterodactyls. The goal is to find where they're coming from, but I'd also like a clear idea of where they can mostly be found, and if they're causing any damage. I'll need people who can fly (powers, tech, ship, it doesn't matter how), to help with a coordinated search that will start tomorrow.

Let me know if you're interested. The search will start at 8 am.

If anyone has a piloting experience but no ship, let me know. I have a jump ship that can be taken up in the search.

This is a terribly belated update, so I hope you can forgive me.

You've probably seen varying assessments of how the speed dating went, but I thought it was quite fine. It was odd at first, but it got easier with each person; whether that was me growing more comfortable or the drinks helping that along, we may never know. But the people that I met were very nice and I'm hopeful for some new friendships, so we'll see. Afterwards there was mingling, which seemed like it would be terrible, but Verin was there, so I just stuck near him. I also saw Pike, so there were plenty of familiar faces. I know the point was meeting new people, but Ver it is what it is.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about it. Nothing exciting or scandalous, I'm afraid, but it was nice getting out of the keep and forcing myself out of my comfort zone. I might just have to do it more often, in fact.

Hello, dear. What are the chances you have some sort of bow available? I might just know of someone in the market.

The idea of an Outlander-based younger aged schooling was brought forward and space was found, and I signed on as the teacher! I have taught before, and prefer to use a very blended model of hands-on learning, so there will be groupings for ages of 3-6 and 6-9, and perhaps more if there is a great deal of interest.

We will be learning art, music, movement, science, and appropriate levels of reading and math! I think it will be a very good time, and if you have a child in your care that meets these needs, please feel free to enroll them at the DOA office.

It has been a while since I have taught, I am looking forward to this! If you are someone looking for a job, I am looking for a classroom assistant or two, to help with group activities and snack time and just classroom management.

Hey y'all! It's September already, which means there is a brand new menu at Rose Apothecary! This time I tried something a little different and all pies are available as vegan and vegetarian options. They are also fae-friendly because I know y'all were asking and I wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy the same things! ♥

You might notice that the pies have names this time around because a lot of baking comes from sharing with others and y'all have truly been a wonderful inspiration during my time here. I look forward to seeing everyone participating on Friday for speed dating where Jack and I will be checking you in and helping the gracious, amazing Alexis Rose. But also it is Beyoncé's birthday and we have to celebrate it in style!
