I know we have a lot of insomniacs around here - or people who just don't sleep well for one reason or another. I see plenty at the clinic for individual appointments so I thought I'd try to put together something where I see a bunch of people at once? Not sure how this will go but it's an attempt.

Still trying to come up with clever names - so far all I've got is Sleep Seminar, and it'll be this coming Monday starting at six. I'll probably have it catered so rumbling stomachs don't interrupt but here's what I planned to go over:

• Temporarily changing your sleep schedule to boost sleeping power
• The Art of Doing Nothing
• Answering questions like - what’s the latest time you should drink caffeine or eat dinner? Should every bit of light be eliminated from your room? What about using your phones or laptops in bed?

So if you're interested, come by the DOA building - it'll be in the same room as the AA/NA and Death Club meetings, on that basement level. If you're not interested, well. Here's a picture of my death-sense cat:

I'm pretty sure summer just started and now it's nearly over. And somehow an entire year has passed since the last one.

Do you ever just suddenly remember all of the people you were friends with who aren't here anymore? And wonder how they're doing... Like are they home? Or did they go to a different world again?

I think this time last year I was going dress shopping with Bev. Because Allura was throwing that ball. I have photos of that time and the memories and the quarry is still here but none of them are. But sometimes it doesn't feel like it was real, even though I know it was

Hello, good morning.

Name's Mobius, and I just got here yesterday after a bumpy landing. I have some people one person I've studied intimately for literal years, and one adorably feral cat who acts like she's just been tossed into a sink-- Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum? friends here already so I seem to be doing okay. Got a bagel, the DOA lecture, and a map.

Now, hypothetical question - if one were to need a ridiculously ginormous power source, say, something to power a last hope of civilization's escape from the apocalypse (like a train, or a clown car) where would I go about finding one of those? Plus if anyone else has any other Vallo tips, I'd like to hear them. Thanks in advance.

Mazikeen decided that yesterday was the best day for her to have her puppies. They seem to all be doing well but honestly IDK much about baby hellhounds and crap. But I think they're adorable.

Well. I suppose I missed a great deal being off the mainland and avoiding the network. It would explain a lot though.

As luck would have it, Vallo decided to bring me something I did not expect to be gifted in the days after finding out about my husband's death. I got photographs. A great deal of them, some even from the wedding, but enough of them from all the time before. I was about ready to hurl something across the room, but before I could, I just wished that this loss would just stop hurting, that I could stop feelings stabs in my heart every time I thought of David in particular, but also of Zoya and Nikolai.

And just like that, I stopped feeling the pain. I guess sometimes Vallo does things correctly?

I missed Pride weekend though. That's a damn shame.

Okay. So harpies and demons.

They're apparently coming from the Forest of Torment. I have no idea how they got out of it but I'm guessing Vallo is being Vallo.

Kill what you need to--anything that is celestial in nature will probably be your best bet with actually taking them down. IDK if anyone has holy water? But the demons don't like that. The harpies won't be affected by that though.

But if you can get some of them back into that section of the forest that would be good to. They're kind of what keeps the souls of the worst murderers, rapists, and traitors at bay. So. You know. Those getting out would not be good either. No one wants to deal with serial killers running around.

Okay, so not like massively weird and the rest of my magic is working fine, but I can't spin around and change my outfit.

Info for any newcomers or people who just weren't aware, but - the Chakrabarti Clinic offers free first aid and sex ed classes on a monthly basis. Are there any other classes people might like to see? Some possibilities and ideas - healthy eating, stress management (don't everyone sign up all at once for that one now), smoking cessation, etc? I'm open to ideas. Somehow I also managed to collect some lucid dreaming students - teaching people how to lucid dream, that is - but I have space for more if anyone wants to learn this technique to improve sleep and put a stop to nightmares.

We're here for not only Outlanders but locals too, and we've been staying consistently busy (though we always get a spike when people decide to be Big Damn Heroes). At the clinic we have a mix of those who approach medicine in a more scientific way, and those who approach it magically - the hospitals are the same way, for the most part.

I've also been seeing some talk of the Wednesday meetings re: death and dying, so, yes. I'm Dan and I run those, Wednesdays at 8 at the DOA building. The hour before that is AA for those who are new and may be interested.

I guess that's enough 'helpful' advice from me. And now I have to go drop my cat off at 'work' because she gets mad and pisses in the clean laundry if she can't do her job.
