There are large and dangerous creatures in the darkness, likely more deadly than most of the things you have faced in the past. If you are not prepared to fight them, I suggest you stay in safe zones.

Atreus was gravely injured fighting one this morning, but he is under appropriate care, thankfully. Lance, he will live. If you wish to see him, he is at Freya's home.

Um. I'm pretty sure something chased me in the dark on the way to work this morning. I thought it was after the pies, but I hurled one at it's head and it still came after me, so.

Thankfully, two made it safe to work.

Pies, I mean. Not whatever the thing was that chased me. I managed to get away.

Hi.

So we are pretty sure that what is happening has something to do with what happened in our world. Oh! Sorry, we being me, Iris, Gladio, Ignis, Prompto and Noctis. Long story short back home for us our world was plunged into an endless darkness and creatures that existed in the dark started to grow in numbers. They're called Daemons and they're pretty nasty as I'm guessing a few people already figured out. We weren't really sure if this was what it was yesterday but the guys ran into a few and it looks like a few others did today too.

I've got a whole list of stuff going, I'll send it along to everyone. I don't have all my notes here so it's mostly going off memory and if you see something that doesn't match the list let me know!

A couple general notes though:

• They're really tough. Even if you think they aren't they are. Most of the smaller ones use numbers to their advantage and the bigger ones just hit damn hard.
• Some have magic, some won't take damage from physical attacks, some won't take damage from magic attacks (I've included all that in the notes). So don't go anywhere alone and try to balance your groups with magic and physical attacks.
• This is the big one. They do not like light. Stick to well lit areas and you should be fine. But it has to be pretty good light. Your phone's flashlight won't do anything. The city should be okay, we had less lights in our outposts and it kept them away pretty good!

First of all, I'm fine.

But I just had a run in with another one of those big gooey guys that knocked me around a good bit a while back and it might be a good idea to, at the very least, buddy system it while whatever is going on outside is still going on if people need to leave the house. They're not a fun time, especially if you don't have darkvision.

Don't worry if you happen to see me out there.   It's not really me.  The real me is safe and sound in a brightly lit room.  What you're seeing is a projection of me, one that can fight the daemons with my shine. 

Does anyone want to team up and kick daemon ass together?

This whole situation is giving me flashbacks to situations in my world that I never thought I'd see again, and I'm not having a good time.

The salon will, obviously, be staying closed until we see daylight again.

Is this a thing for which you can be excused from going to school? Because I would figure so but in the event that it's not or if anyone needs to go anywhere, I am totally open to share my light with people if anyone needs to take a trip somewhere. AND bonus, I can make like large shields and such too that could keep them away.

Group trips going anywhere, right? Is this also technically my first Vallo-wtf event?
